Am I honestly supposed to believe the average guy can bench 160 lbs...

Am I honestly supposed to believe the average guy can bench 160 lbs? Most fags in my uni gym aren't benching lmao1pl8 let alone 160 lbs

All the young regulars in my gym can bench 2 plate. 160 is where you should be within a couple months.

Well yeah I believe that. But the "average guy" can bench 160? What a bunch of horseshit

Are you trolling me dude?

...

>men who would rather work out than have sex
all of Veeky Forums

First time benching today. 135 for 3x5

My 3x5 max is currently around 95-100Lbs. Where should it be 3 months from now?

wait is that counting the bar?

>Number of men who would rather work out than have sex: 1 in 7
guess Veeky Forums skews this number pretty hard though

probably

>is that counting the bar
Obviously not.

How weak do you think Americans are???

The "average" male is like 250lb tub of shit
Fatties can always lift more starting out because they have to do it all the time

If you think the "normal" 160 5'10'' guy who has an office job/uni classes can bench his own weight, you're crazy

>If you think the "normal" 160 5'10'' guy who has an office job/uni classes can bench his own weight, you're crazy
I guess that's what I'm thinking...

More

>average mile time is 12:17
Ho. Lee. Phuk. I could run 11 min when i was fucking obese. This is pathetic.

My goal in 3 months is to bench 115lbs. I think I can do it!

>30 something push-ups
>12 minute mile
>one pull-up
Da fugg :DD

Do you go to an asian gym?

I believe in you!

On a serious note, I'm also a noob and I found that focusing on form really helps
You wouldn't think that bench requires good form, but it's more important than you think

The average height used to be 6'2, but then a horde of worthless beaners appeared

5"9.2 haha

Not that i don't trust you.
Can you cite that shit

>Using bench as a strength measuring tool

Come on user we all know its the deadlift. Bench is a babby tier workout

>0.2"

Ahahahahah

autist chestlet detected

>skinny DYEL
>can DL more than my muscly friends
DL is nothing but an ego lift

Bench is a best measure of how "big" someone looks

They pulled that entire grahpic out of their asses. none of it makes any fucking sense.

Can confirm. I literally started lifting 2 weeks ago. 24 y/o 165 lb 5'11 office job. I can't do 160 yet

>teleports behind anons girlfriend
>hey babe want me to show you a real mans grip strength?

I'm between 5 9 and 5 10 not gonna lie, strength is more important to me then size. But I do agree with bench and size comment.

>1 pull-up
>12 minute mile
>almost 18% BF

Explain yourselves, Americans.

I was about to say as much
>benches 160 pounds
>1 pullup
pathetic

it actually says 180

U srs m8?

My first day in the gym and 1pl8 was warmup

I'm a grill that just started benching a couple weeks ago. I started with just the bar-- I can only do sets of 3 with 2.5lbs added on each side, but can do sets of 8 with just the bar now. When will I improve?

>"normal" 160 5'10'' guy who has an office job/uni classes can bench his own weight

I'm pretty much that and I can. And I've only got a '38 chest as well. I haven't even been lifting but two weeks. Granted, I can only bench my weight once, but I did it to prove to myself I can literally carry my own weight.

when you start eating spooky

Idk what is worse, one pull up or 5" ding dong and 10min sex. Last girl i fucked, I fucked for three hours before deciding to bust on her face.

are you a girl or something? My first day in the gym and I was pumping out 2plate for reps.

1RM doesn't count as pretty much anyone can have a huge 1RM if they retard strength/pass next to Snap City for it

I eat 1800cals on rest days and 2000 on liftan days.

How many reps would you personally consider to be the benchmark for someone's max bench?

It always made sense to me to have it be a 1 rep max

3

i cant do two plates yet. its been a year.. considering i started with the bar, for ten reps. and now can easily do 150 for 10... but im stuck.. how do i increase my weight?

i need a ton of muscle endurance for my job

Hmm, I wonder what my 3 rep max is now. I feel like where I am is pretty ok for someone that just started.

Idk y r u doing 10 reps u fag if u did ss ud be 2pl8

You dont need to explain what happened, but you do need to eat this

What a waste of time. You have nothing better to do than fuck the same bitch for 3h? Get a job man

>Average American male

>5'9

Is this why blacks are stealing all the white women?

>those sex stats
That's just sad. No wonder bed death is so common. People are awful at sex.

That isn't the average white height, because it's thrown off by millions of short Hispanics

lol u dont have "liftan days"

>Hispanics
White?

Ha. Next thing you'll be telling me the heebs are white.

Hispanics are 80% white, you cucks
Hispanic is not a race, and only dirty mexicans, Cuban and other central americans are more than half mixed/niggers

Jesus Christ, I was saying for the national average height. That wasn't the average height of white guys.

Not them but wouldn't that make Hispanic people the cucks?

>1 in 7 would rather work out than have sex

Who part of the 1/7th here?

wew lad. you should wait until after you're done with your dialysis treatment and talk to your doctor before lifting.

> Bench 160 pounds
> Can only do 1 pullup

If you can only do 1 pull up at 160 pound bench it means you're a fat tub of shit. I agree OP, the average man CANNOT bench 160 pounds. The people benching 160 pounds most likely weigh 200-220 pounds, meaning that the average person cannot bench their bodyweight which makes more sense.

I consider a 150 pound guy benching his bodyweight far more impressive than benching 180 pounds but being a fat fuck

Yes, all of Latin America was cucked by the Spanish and Portuguese.

yeh m8

>Average number of pull-ups
>1

And I've been beating myself up because I struggle to do 5 sets of 10

It's self-reported.

Keep in mind the median age in America is 38 years old, and the mean is expected higher, so dad strength plays a big factor.

disregard that I suck cocks, didn't actually read and didn't notice the infogram said for people in their 20s.

>The average height used to be 6'2, but then a horde of worthless beaners appeared

average height isn't even that tall in the netherlands you retarded shitstain

Says one time in parentheses on the chart.

>ITT: i was 14 when i benched 6 plates, only took me 3 days in the gym, it should take you MINIMUM one gym session to be able to bench 2 plates

this board is actually worse than a youtube comments section on a bodybuilding motivational video

Wtf it's been 2 years and I only bench 165.
Does this confirm that I have bad genetics?

Heck off troll

Probably more to do with lack of commitment, bad diet, and bad routine than anything.

College gym goers are not the average man.
There are not a large enough group to sway shit.

The norm is surprisingly low for some lifts.
It's why the mere idea that people should perform and look like people who are gifted and drugged and work hard as a natural before they make it or are considered "making it" is retarded.

It's how they dumbfuck you idiots into buying retarded shit and listening to idiots who have shit to sell you.

>12:17 minute mile
>5.08" dick
>1 pull-up
How?

the "average guy" isn't a fucking basement dwelling twink tendie eater like you. the "average guy" works blue collar labour intensive jobs and are on their feet 10 hours a day. for the average working man, 160 is doable.

Fat people happened, that's what.

>average american male height
>5'9"
I was wondering why there were so many 5'9" guys on this board. Kinda wanna go to America now, just for the ego trip.

>couple a months

fuck off user

Yeah they have an amazing amount of deep down muscle strength.
HOWEVER, that does not 100% translate to being able to perform some unnatural lifts in a gym.

autist leglet bro detected

what the fuck is this are you taking estrogen? I was reppin 500 before even steping a foot on the gym.

>implying this isn't the height of e-statting

Are you legit composed entirely of female hormones?

I bench 8888pl8s ten times per nanosecond even while im asleep

I just started going to gym first time in my life and after month i can 50 kg 5x5 so it's only a matter of time (hell, I don't even know If I already can bench that). And I'm a fat nerd

Is it bad that my resting heart rate is 72 bpm?

No, that's perfectly fine. Go to a cardiologist and they'll say anything from 60-100 bpm is normal.

t. user that was born with occasional arrhythmia that was corrected by minor operation

>arrhythmia that was corrected by minor operation

How in the fuck can heart surgery be 'minor'?

Anyone else spend no where near 875 dollars on supps a year. Like a year supply of multi vitamins and creatine from Costco is under 100 dollars.

Do steroids count as "supplements"?

People will spend a ton on stuff like fat burners, preworkouts, specialist multivitamins and such.

The basics are cheap as fuck but if you're an idiot getting gouged by GNC the shit adds up crazy fast.

They ran a wire up my artery in my groin to my heart, and the Dr used the wire to put scar tissue on the overactive node that caused my SVT episodes I had.

SVT stands for Supra Ventricular Tachycardia, which just equates to a quite fast pulse where the chambers aren't operating in sync.

I got my one rep max to 165 and I'm only 5'5" 150lbs, how much is that in normal human size?

14 pull ups
4:42 mile
255 DL
150 bench
5'10"
145 pounds

>Feelsreasonablyokay.jpg

Who /assistedpullupanddip/ here

yes, your heart is being strained

>4:42 mile
color me impressed

I don't know how many pull ups I can do because Planet Fatness only has a weird pull up set up (no truly horizontal bar), but I can do 6 or more pullups on that weird thing unassisted.

For dips I can do 15 or so.

Better to do assisted until you can do it without help than not do it because you feel bad and getting nowhere.

how do you measure your mile? just run one mile as fast as you fucking can, or is it a mile on a 30 minute run or longer?

Show me your evidence.

Yep, this. Every day I go in and do dips or pullups I can going to lower the weight assistance until I can do how many I'm supposed to do without assistance.

That's all shit and your run time is probably on a treadmill.
