How do I correct a strong lumbar spine scoliosis on my own?

And the scoliosis in my case is clear muscle imbalance and not fucked up spine.

So.. how do I begin? Most movements involving lumbar spine hurt as hell.

You better go to the doctor before it gets worst and you have to have surgery.

Ask someone at the gym to kick your spine back into place.

Well, if it's functional scoliosis, you can fix it on your own. I don't have time to write you an essay atm, but I'd suggest you take up swimming and yoga (one of the goals of rehabilitation is to strengthen your core muscles and fix your posture, which yoga is great for). Also, you need to adopt proper form in sitting, standing, and walking

I had a similar issue, OP, only my insurance covered physical therapy. I spent many months getting minimal benefit from PT. After I stopped PT, I immediately started lifting heavier weights and joined a gym. Nothing has made such an enormous difference like lifting has. Deadlifting (done correctly) will make you feel like a new man after a couple months. Building muscle in general will help your spine and health.

Yeah but I don't think I can do deadlifts with a scoliosis like that, what if just strengthens the muscle imbalance?

hombre the therapies ranged from 50 to 80 europoors per hour, i absolutely cannot afford that with my salary after i've paid rent, electricity and other necessities.

are you sure your spine is not misaligned? if you have a curvature, you'll have a muscular imbalance as well to compensate for the side of your back that lacks spinal support.

start cutting back whatever you can. even its 5 euros a month
tho i would say you should try hitting up a chiropractor if u guys have those

The doc. specifically used the words "caused by muscle imbalance" and specified when I asked her "not caused by spine itself".

So you have a straight spine and your doctor diagnosed you with scoliosis? I am confused

muscle imbalance caused the scoliosis, i wasn't born with a spine with vertebrate by default in a scoliosis formation.

i'm pretty sure that's not a thing. i have never heard of a muscular imbalance causing your thick ass spine to bend. i can't find anything on google about it either. it's always the other way around that your spine bending causes one side of your body to become more muscular.

maybe I worded it badly. the gist was that it could be fixed anyways, to a proper non-scoliosis spine.

Eh? I'm the guy who suggested yoga and swimming. There are two types of scoliosis (same really with other spine deformities) - functional and congenital. Functional ones really do develop like that, especially during the period of growth (in the simplest of ways = your muscles get fatigued = posture gets fucked up = spine deforms)
