I've also spoken to my family and I'm actually planning on purchasing land and building my own home with an annex allowing my family to move in full time with me. The idea is that they will live in my house but when we want "alone time" there is the option of complete privacy.

Is Uber good? $1,000 a week sounds really decent actually. I mean I could go get a job in retail or a grocery store or something I think but I really need to get back on a job with some kind of career path. I don't think retail would cover the rent and my wife and I are concerned it would take away time I should be spending getting a "real job."

I wake up and apply to more jobs, writing unique cover letters, every day. Then I look for alumni from my school or employees that I can contact and I email them asking for an informational interview. I'm also looking up recruiting agencies too but they said directly to me that nobody is looking for my qualifications and I should try again a month later. I worked in a consulting firm.

My wife is getting homesick and stressed out and fighting a lot with me and I'm not strong enough emotionally to keep it together. She can tell I'm depressed but it frustrates her and instead of being sympathetic she becomes more tough and it starts to self-perpetuate.

Except your mileage rates are dangerously close to IRS estimates of what it takes to maintain a car. Unless you have an especially fuel efficient car you really may not come out ahead after fuel and added maintenance costs. You might not even fully realize the added maintenance costs until you start hitting 10k mile landmarks pretty quickly and start needing belts and other shit replaced.

That was my experience I had to find that out the hard way, unless where you are fuel is cheap and you need a prius otherwise it's just not worth it tbqh

The fact that you need a car made within ten years of the current year, the unpredictability of taking strangers into your vehicle, lulls in business. Uber is also cutthroat in taking you out of the system if you don't have good reviews.

If you do take it, you should use both Lyft and Uber at the same time so there are no lulls. I would recommend a food delivery job as well, either from an established chain or through a similar contract app. It's becoming very popular recently.

As an oldfag, I always am curious about one thing with all of you NEETs, what do you plan on doing once your parents are gone? I have known individuals over the years who were basically NEETs before the term became popular and as I grow older they are starting to lose their parents as either money sources due to them finally cutting them off or simply dying. Just about all of them have long since run off any family who might have considered helping them. Now they are losing whatever small inheritance they gained due to spending their parents wealth for years when it was supposed to be for their retirement. Some are losing it all and more or less ending up on the street. None of them ever had a long term plan, or if they did it was something completely incoherent that never had any actual opportunity or will to make happen.

Hey don't get me wrong, if you have any other way of making money, fucking do that instead of joining the military! I was a stupid kid with no motivation and I hated school so I joined. My body is a fucking wreck now though, I can't recall how many times I dislocated my shoulders, I have fucked up knees, back problems, and my hearing is going to shit, and I'm barely 30. Yeah I'm in a good place financially now, but it definitely came at a price.

But, there are jobs in the military that are pretty comfy, I know because we spent half the day making fun of those bastards who sat around doing fuck all getting the same pay check we did for doing paperwork.
