I think politics are a little different in the U.S.
I'm not sure what the political arena is like in Denmark, but there can be a correlation attributed to the majority. There will always exist outliers in anything in life. For fucks sake, a few years back there was a black Dominican taxi driver who got in trouble for saying he was a nazi and wearing a swastika armband. When we speak about stats and correlation, we speak about the majority.

The majority of frats in the U.S. are conservatives, the majority of policemen and military are conservatives, the majority of manual labor tradesmen(lumberjacks, oilfield) are conservatives. The pattern is easy to see here.
