PPL has good volume, hits every muscle group twice a week, allows you to gain strength and often requires one hour or less per day.

PPL slows down your progress. If you are doing say push day and you go hard on bench, how the fuck can you expect to go hard on OHP since it trains similar muscles? It's retarded as fuck and I don't know why this meme caught on.

I do full body then two-days rest which I spend on Veeky Forums, then I work out again then two days off. It's okay.

Did SL for some months as absolute beginner, bench and ohp often overlapped. Personally I can give my all to a max of 3 compounds, then my intensity fades.
Helped me a lot for noob gains and learn proper form.

Since I stopped benching, squatting and deadlifting I'm more aesthetic than I have ever been. It's all about isolation exercises if you want to look strong and don't care about being strong. The only time a barbell should ever be in your hands is if you're doing The Press.

PPL with intensity on the first day of the week hitting a muscle and more volume on the second time is the best for me. I wish I tried it earlier.

My bench and ohp pr are from the same day.

It's not much at 275 and 195 but it is a pr. And then I do weighted dips.
That same day I did 185 on ohp before my quad locked up for 3. Then I tried 205, then I tried 200, then I did 195. I also did 275 twice on bench because the first one was inches from my chest.

Flat bench might hinder it a little bit, but incline right fucks it.

As long as you're progressing in weight workout to workout, your 1rm will go up. That might not be your true 1rm for ohp, but if you're always doing bench and ohp on the same day, it doesn't matter.

Give yourself an adequate rest period and if you're strong enough you should be fine

It's great if you only have three days out of the week if you can lift.

The idea of trappy... well without being a trap, and helping new lifters is a solid idea. The problem is Raffy executed it terribly and stepped on everyone's heels to try and tell them how wrong they were when the reality is he can't read properly.

The funniest thing is he would tell the powerlifting tripfags they were wrong and doing something wrong when it turns out he could only deadlift sub 3plates with terrible form.

I actually tried it exactly once and I felt sick halfway through my workout and had to stop for a few minutes before I could continue. The crash was awful and I felt depressed and like garbage for a couple of days after while my body readjusted.

Do you think you would need to build a strong base before doing this routine? I'm a DYEL. I half assed SS a couple years ago and all I had to show for it was big legs. Also how long does it take each day?

I was an intermediate lifter when I started - so a strength base would probably help. But after your first year or so of lifting, unless you are a strength athlete there is literally no reason to keep doing compounds if your goal is aesthetics.

Oh and it takes me 45 mins - 1 hour for 4 sets of each exercise. No fucking about with long rest in between. Also do 20 mins cardio after each session if you have the time.

It doesn't look like it would take too long at all. Without all the big heavy compounds it should cut down on how much rest you need. And it should tax you less.

Nothing in there looks difficult. It'd be the weight you choose to use which is the difference maker.

Also the legs workout is shit.

I'd say switch leg press in for leg extensions.

Add in hip thrusts or glute bridges and take out lying leg curls.

Add in good mornings, or hyperextensions if you don't want another hammy/glute exercise.

You should always train your lower back to some degree. You might not be deadlifting or whatever, but it will help throughout life.

As a sipper, this is true. You're better off using actual pre, cuban coffee, or caffiene pills.

Training for strength and hypertrophy isn't mutually exclusive, but your training style can prioritize one over the other.
