To train explosiveness, I've been doing this thing where I float in the deep end of the pool and for 10 seconds I thrash underwater as violently and explosively as possible with 50 seconds of rest. Doing this 5-6 times I've felt has really helped me not only with how explosive I can be but also help with oxygen efficiency because when I first started I would get light headed at the end of the 10 seconds but now I can do up to a 8 reps before I get lightheaded.
