The more I look into the project, the more I realize that LINK has the potential to eclipse ETH in market cap.
I say this not to come off as deluded, but because ETH is just for network transaction fees and a token pumped and dumped during icos. Every dapp is using its own token to transmit real value, and we can only expect this trend to continue because it's clearly in the interest of the developers. Most of the value of the Ethereum ecosystem will be held in its tokens, not in ETH itself.

As for LINK, it will be so valuable because used as payment to data providers (not mere transaction fees), and needs to be staked in order to make providing this data profitable, in addition, it will be used with blockchains other than Ethereum.
Every dapp worth its market cap will be using external data, and the ChainLink network will be the premiere source for this.

The Ethereum moon mission was just the tip of the iceberg. There are many moons to come and LINK will possibly be the most important.
