Practice bro. Do push-ups everyday and try to increase slowly by like 2-3 a week. That with good form and you can crank out 50+ no problem

just how far can pushups and other bodyweight workouts can get you? i never understood fundamental difference between that and lifting

If you have a good workout routine and combine bodyweight activities with good diet, you can naturally put on some muscle mass. It's not as easy or effective as weights however, but it's an option if you're still growing since weights are known to stunt growth (in terms of height).
im asking because believe it or not there is no gym in my small town and the only things that are at my disposal are 2 dumbells, pull up bar, barbell and some weights so im looking for as many potential alternative as i can

I started the first on January with 1, and added 1 pushup per day. Have to do as many in one set as I can.

man these fucking captcha puzzles are killing me your endurance is shit, do a drop set after you finish your bench, so I would say do 135 for 20 reps at the end there, or something.
also when you do your pushups make sure your arms are in 45 degree angle rather than 90, so they are not facing forward they are kind of angled towards your head (depending on how wide could be towards your shoulders)
