What is NOT a meme

t. dyel

Holy kek

I mean an altitude mask while doing cardio is legit. If you're a runner or a cyclist or something then fuck yeah, it helps you get more oxygen efficient. Obviously it's not as good as actually living at altitude but that requires you to move living situation.

While lifting...like wtf why?

no it doesn't

The altitude mask doesn't help or living at altitude doesn't?

mask doesn't help, unless it some how lowers the concentration of oxygen in the air. Otherwise it just makes breathing harder.

...

>unless it some how lowers the concentration of oxygen in the air.
this wouldn't help either unless you wore it for weeks at a time

functional strength is the real meme

Legit question actually. The whole fitness industry is a artificial market created to scam idiots. Knowledge of nutrition + any kind of exercise routine is perfectly enough for being fit. But that simplicity doesn't allow people to make lots of money since people could do research themselves and pay next to nothing. Instead fitness people started all kinds of crazy bullshit memes and scams to rip the general population

This. The vast majority of improvements in VO2max come from the heart getting stronger, and making more/more efficient mitochondria in muscles. It doesn't come from your fucking lungs getting better in some way. You know how you induce an oxygen deficit in your body? Fucking run harder. Living/sleeping at high altitude and training at LOW altitude is actually the best combo.

compound lifts
why risk injury when they dont do anything for looks?

>Protein-windows that begin the second you finish your final set, and only last a certain time
(has some truth, but it's not that strict)
>pre workout
>post workout
>protein shakes (expensive piss)
>bro splits beyond beginner routines
>"feeling the burn" instead of going heavy
>fasted cardio
>"cardio kills gains"
No need to go on, it's 95% bullshit because its marketable and its profitable

>unless it some how lowers the concentration of oxygen in the air
Living in high altitude doesn't lower concentration of oxygen in air either. It decreases air pressure. As does an altitude mask (for you lungs, anyway).

Didn't it also have something to do with your body producing more red blood cells so that the oxygen can be extracted more efficiently?
Too lazy to look it up right now.

fairly good list but im calling BS on -
>big 3 past 100kg/225lbs while not being competitive (no one gives a shit how much you lift and 100kg is more than enough for anything in your daily life)
>big 3 for aesthetics

First problem is that for natties, strength usually = size. There's almost no way around that if you want to go past ottermode. Even for guys on sterons strength equates well with size, but obviously hypertrophy works a lot better for them than it will for natties.

Off the first point, the big three will help with aesthetics for the same reason for natties, but SS is certainly shit for aesthetics because it isn't focused well enough on developing every muscle.

How does it feel, to spend years in a gym and still look dyel?

Idk bro how do you feel?

>SS is certainly shit for aesthetics because it isn't focused well enough on developing every muscle.
Literally who cares? If you're doing SS for longer than half a year, you're doing it wrong.
