Tfw can pull 405 deadlift no problem but struggle to hit even lmao2pl8 bench

>tfw can pull 405 deadlift no problem but struggle to hit even lmao2pl8 bench

what am I doing wrong fit?

not bench pressing enough

>not bench pressing enough

I bench twice a week so I don't think benching more would help. I peaked at 185 it started to go downhill :[

Eat more. You are small.

>1pl8 strict OHP for double
>1,5pl8 bench for single
>over 2pl8 bent over rows
>4pl8 conv deadlift

out of curiosity im going to check symmetric strength

OP here, if you were guessing my stats then you were spot on.

What about symmetric strength?

Bench 225 x 5
Strict OHP 155 X 6
Row 185 x 3-5 god awful reps.

What's wrong with me?

same boat as you user, but instead I have weak push muscles with overcompensating pull muscles

>symmetric strength
i hate that it doesnt take height into account

dude i had the EXACT same problem. i saw a video, dont remember which though and ive been trying to find it. but it said to push onto your traps with your feet when benching. push toes to the front of your shoes, drive your legs into the floor, onto your traps and bench. i watched that saturday and tried it sunday and finally benched 2pl8. ive always had shitty bench, and struggled so long to get to 2 but i tried that technique and killed it.

Different muscle groups are being used when benching and squatting

Increase. Volume.

1. you have long arms - sorry, your bench will suck shit
2. do more volume, more frequency, more bodybuilding work

recommend nuckols 28 free programs 3x a week bench (beginner or intermediate medium)

>more body building work
lol
Just do more volume in terms of sets and frequency, keep reps between 3-7 and never work till failure.
Suggestion 3-4 times a week 5-8 sets at around 7-8 RPE

You guys are both "powerlifters" but your advice sucks.
>cuckols
>3-7 reps

>what am I doing wrong fit?
Most likely a lot of things. But don't worry, not everyone is built to have a perfect 1/2/3/4 ratio. It took me about 4 months after I hit 405 dl to bench 225. All I can tell you is what I did personally, and I doubt it was optimal. I benched twiced a week. At the beginning of the week 5x5 ~80%, later in the week I went heavy. I started at 3x5 with 10 lbs more than what I did at 5x5. My focus was on adding weight not maintaining 3x5 so I just added 5 lbs every week. When I couldn't get 5 reps, I did 3x4, then 3x3, 3x2, 3x1, 2x1, 1x1. Then reset with a heaver 3x5 than you started with. Hope I could help.

165x3 ohp
265x3 bench
295x1 squat
415x3 diddy

my squat is fucking shit :(

I bench 14 times a week u idiot

Bench pressing is a meme lift

...

>tfw in the same boat
Instead, I deadlift pl8 and still cant bench 2pl8.
Wanna hit me up? So we can kill ourselves?

>pl8
I meant 5pl8

>he fell for the SS meme

Grab them dumbbells user.
Have most of your chest work be with dumbbells rather than the barbell.
Your chest will look better and get stronger.
