Just finished cruising through the last thread, and wanted to say that breeches + stockings +gaiters are the best fucking thing ever. They need to make a comeback.

As I said last thread, I have pretty much everything (even soldiers from Luxemburg), so if you'd like to see something, just ask.

And here some Russians from the Crimean war, as requested.

For some reason Osprey spells it either as Sebastopol or Sevastopol, is their a standard spelling in English?

Well before this thread dies or I go to bed, I'll dump some more

The name in Russian comes from a Greek word which is pronounced "Sebastopolis", so Sebastopol was a traditional name for the city.

Oh ok, does it have anything to do with the name Sebastian?

Where did you get these from OP?

No, it comes from the greek word for "venerable."

Thank you to the user who dumped some post-1815 russian uniforms.
Have a pic of my Russo-Turkish 1877 War era Russian Berdan II rifle along with it's successive infantry rifle buddies (imperial m91 and m91/30)

In Russian, it is spelt and pronounced with a V instead of a B, Ceвacтoпoль, Sevastopol, "Se-va-sto-pol" with a soft L
