Why do people have to deal in absolutes? Can't we just recognize that neither vanilla capitalism or vanilla socialism (communism is a state of anarchy that never was achieved and never will be in our lifetimes) works. You need both to keep each other in check and be flexible in an often erratic and unpredictable world. Too much power with the state leaves the people at it's mercy, but to much power in the hands of greedy entrepeneurs creates instability and inequality. I know that Veeky Forums is full of ideologues and idiots, but this is a mentality that is prolific here in the states: One or the other, nothing in between. The world simply isn't that simple or black and white and I wish more people understood that..
