Drink lots of water after sunset, and work out afterwards. The gym will be crowded but that's your problem. Make sure to eat a lot during the nighttime to compensate for the lost calories. That is all. Muwaffaq.

Orthodox Christian here. Great Lent is a stricter fast foodwise than Ramadan but I also get to drink water whenever I want. That into account, here's the general game plan:

>you're essentially doing an aggressive cut. at best a slow cut if you can eat and sleep and pray all within the sunrise-sunset window. keep this in the front of your mind when reading any diet advice.
>you're going to lose a fuckload of weight. some of this will be muscle. most of it will be water (in the beginning) and fat (in the end), as long as you keep lifting.
>shitty workout is better than no workout, so make sure to lift unless you're seriously ill. also helps slow muscle loss
>don't worry about losing gains, your tendons/fascia are stretched out to your previous muscular amount, so you should hit your normal numbers at most 2 weeks after ramadan, if not sooner.
>don't forget to eat your protons or allah will smite your gains
>if you've got a total of one meal to work with (like i did), (eat then lift) will make you perform better in the gym but (lift then eat) will make you feel better psychologically.
>if you can eat more than once (lifting at night) best would probably be small meal -> lift -> large meal with fast carbs in the pre-workout meal.

w.r.t. water I can't offer any firsthand advice, but I'd imagine you want to avoid any diuretics like coffee/salt.

I am (was) a skinny fuck and have been bulking for over a year so fasting is out of the picture for me. Last Ramadan I pretty much ate at will and my parents pretty didn't really seem to be bothered. I assume you're grown enough to make your own decisions. Either way good luck
