honestly this is very true, ive brought friends to the gym who have never touched a bar before but could bench 135x5 for multiple sets. they weighed like 230lbs tho....i think 180lbs for full grown men is very reasonable

to hit 400lbs you need to actually train, my dad comes with me to gym once every month and hes able to hit 220 for reps at 230 bodyweight while hes 50yo and didnt really train since I was born, so for 21 years, all hes do is swimming and bike riding
