Coconut Oil

It's been stated that Coconut oil can help with weight loss because it stimulates the metabolism and also helps the thyroid gland. Has anyone tried this before. I started using organic coconut oil to cook eggs and they surprisingly taste good.

I fap with it everyday. Hope this helps

Heres the deal

You lose weight by eating under your calorie maintainence.

More water can help. Caffeine can help. Maybe Coconut oil can help.

But ultimately, if you can't have the will power to eat clean then you'll never get lean.

Yeah, I do eat under my calorie, I am just trying to get rid of my belly pouch I can see my ribs and upper abs easily but this shit just doesn't go away. Heard Coconut oil helps with that thats what I am asking.

i doubt coconut is going to work miracles, but it is a healthy source of fat that tastes great in oatmeal so I eat it daily.
Go for the coconut oil that is closer to a butter consistency as opposed to the liquid, it ads a nice coconut hint to a lot of things.

I moisturize my dick with coconut oil but it didn't get any thinner.

No. Eat less.

It's not a magic bullet.

Lower your calories more, work out more, do more cardio to burn calories.

Spot reduction is bullshit.

I've seen a bunch of coconut oil shit on the front of women's magazines lately which is pretty much how I know it's all fucking bullshit.

Anyone know how the coconut oils futures market is looking lately?

I believe the future is looking good, apparently they're targeting the basement dwelling neck beard audience.

Please explain, using scientific data, what chemicals in coconut oil increase the metabolic rate of a person.

I use it all the time, not only is the taste good and subtle, but it also smells amazing.

>but it is a healthy source of fat

No it's not

Yes, yes it is

Get into bulletproof coffee. Kerrygold is your friend.

Coconut oil is godly tier healthy fat you dipshit.

I put coconut oil in my beard. Great results so far, much less itchy and the skin underneath is better. I've also been losing weight, so it seems likely that my beard is eating the coconut oil and helping boost my metabolism.

>thinking an oil that's 80% saturated fat is good for you

If you eat the right amount to get the right amount of fat, you dipshit.

And the "right amount" is whatever amount you feel like eating, based on how hungry you are, right?

My friend, you're living a meme

>Due to its high levels of saturated fat, the World Health Organization, United States Food and Drug Administration, International College of Nutrition, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, American Dietetic Association, American Heart Association, British National Health Service, British Nutrition Foundation and Dietitians of Canada advise that coconut oil consumption should be limited or avoided.
Wew, better trust some random blog with my health rather than every expert on the planet

Funny seeing an Eva reference for the first time on Veeky Forums considering I just finished eva and eoe last night.

There is no targeted fat loss. It doesn't work that way. Lose more weight.

>MCTs passively diffuse from the GI tract to the portal system (longer fatty acids are absorbed into the lymphatic system) without requirement for modification like long-chain fatty acids or very-long-chain fatty acids. In addition, MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion. Patients who have malnutrition, malabsorption or particular fatty-acid metabolism disorders are treated with MCTs because MCTs do not require energy for absorption, use, or storage.

>Medium-chain triglycerides are generally considered a good biologically inert source of energy that the human body finds reasonably easy to metabolize. They have potentially beneficial attributes in protein metabolism, but may be contraindicated in some situations due to a reported tendency to induce ketogenesis and metabolic acidosis.[12] However, there is other authority reporting no risk of ketoacidosis or ketonemia with MCTs at levels associated with normal consumption.[13]

>Due to their ability to be absorbed rapidly by the body, medium-chain triglycerides have found use in the treatment of a variety of malabsorption ailments. MCT supplementation with a low-fat diet has been described as the cornerstone of treatment for Waldmann disease.[14] MCTs are an ingredient in some specialised parenteral nutritional emulsions in some countries.[15][16] Studies have also shown promising results for epilepsy through the use of ketogenic dieting.[17][18] Select studies have shown promising results for neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases)[19] but clinical effectiveness is not yet established.
