Should I be squating barefoot or with running shoes? I don't have lifting shoes yet and I prefer high bar. I've seen many people going barefoot, but I don't know if it's legit and I should be stretching more to squat barefoot in a comfortable way (I can already go ATG but I'm lacking a bit of mobility) or just use something with a bit of heel.

Well, my quads have grown a ton, and I'm due to hit 70% for 20 this Sunday, which I'm pretty sure counts as progress. It's kind of like spotoshot but for squats. Squatoshot - gradual periodization. That's where I got the inspiration from anyway

Take a nap some time before you train, then do your warmups and see how it feels. Ime it doesn't matter that much how you feel, unless you've slept bad for several days in a row. If your last warmup sets feels too hard skip the 5RM attempt otherwise go for it.
