I did a rotation on ortho not too long ago. You have 2 basic options for limb lengthening surgery, ilizarov or the lrs system

Ilizarov is the cheaper one but the associated apparatus is bulkier. Since you do not have actual LLD, the temporary disability associated with simultaneous lengthening is also far worse. Both options carries a high risk of wound infection leading to seeding which results in either sepsis or deep seated infection, and sequalae of abnormal bone callusities causing impaired healing and gross deformity.

Lengthening occurs at a rate of 1mm per day, and a minimun total of 3x that period for optimal healing. It is not likely that you will get that whole 4 inch in one go, that means multiple visit and admission. Youre looking at possibly 2 years of a semi-disabled state. Risk and associated disability is different for femur and tibia. Even if everything goes well, your biomechanics will likely be impaired beyond what is acceptable for any athletic endeavour, either as a result of musculoskeletal issue or proportions. Last but not least, the cost will be ungodly

Only russian doctors are really willing to do it so your gonna have to go there and see a doc to get it done. Ameridocs wont do it because of the insane risks associated with it. You are not guaranteed 2+ inches because its essentailly breaking leg bones and letting them heal millimeters at a time. Its at most 2 inches and even thats not guaranteed. your legs will always be weaker afterwords and more brittle.

You are more prone to fractures and can be sure that its super painful. Splinters of bone and stuff digging into your leg meat happen during the healing process and ive heard its like your legs feel like they are on fire and are being stabbed by tiny needles. So yeah its possible but its a terrible surgery to go through. Good luck with that.

Height is about 60% genes. The average male stops growing at 18-20, at a fairly constant rate annually after using puberty gains. Did you track your previous annual growth? That should give an idea of you max remaining growth potential
