Try slow controlled shrugs. Lower the weight and stop just raising your shoulders a bit. Also farmers carries and snatch grip deadlifts

I've started to do farmers walk like every thrird day and my traps are beginning to blow up

good luck finding dumbbells that go up to 400lbs per hand kid

Also if you have a naturally wide shoulder frame your traps will never really show. But thats more of a blessing than a curse

here's what I do. I call it a clean complex:
>hold bar in hang clean position
>pull up to waist
>pull up to belly button
>pull up to nipples
>hang clean
>jerk
>drop
do that with 185 and after 3 or 4 you'll feel it in your traps

Lean forward slightly when shrugging to hit more trapezius. Standing perfectly straight up tends to hit more levator scapula

>1. Wake up
>2. Go to home depot
>3. Purchase sand bag
>4. Purchase spade
>5. Head to beach
>6. Start a timer on your phone
>7. Use spade to fill sandbag
>8. Carry it 200m
>9. Dump sand
>10. Repeat step 7-9 for 8-12 hours

Congrats, you will now have huge forearms and traps using tradie gainz.
