Yeah I get that but isn't there a reason why main lifts are main lifts, performance wise?
I actually think that's really a point worth discussing but whenever there's a thread about that people just ignore it.
In particular, I sometimes can't help but feel some movements haven't been studied/tested enough. I mean there's no way that "the big 5" which just happen to be hugely popular because of lineage (since centuries ago, except for bench iirc) are also the best combination for every single goal on earth.
Unilateral leg training, in particular, is something I'd like to try out t b h.
(also T-Nation sometimes has interesting posts about lesser known lifts but it's hard to filter the memes)

Main lifts are the easiest to linerary progress on but there is no reasons to do squats if you dont want to
you can build as powerful legs with bulgarian split squats by my opinion
I like the recent trend of introducing new lifts and if i can speak from my personal experience , i ve noticed huge tricep growth from doing rack lockouts (greater than with any isolating exercise), huge trap growth from rack pulls greater than from deadlifts ,rows and shrugs alone, even nice leg gainz from box squats
Also abdominal gainz from zerchers are otherworldly

well i do them sumo style to really have deep range of motion
less than skwaats, simmilar to front skwaats, but i am really more interested in abdominal and arm growth than legs on which zerchers are way superior, i would say 3*10 after your squats will not hurt anything, just start low, shits going to feel heavy on your forearms
and dont be a pussy and keep the bar unwrapped
