Pretty funny how’s napoleon was on track to become the next Alexander and make France a continental superpower but his actions directly led to the Anglo century and the subsequent relegating of France to a second rate European power, while all he could do was sit and watch from his little island

Yes that's why common law is used across the entirety of the continent.

Yes that's why the imperial system is used across the entirety of the world.

No, but that's why everybody in the world (including you) speaks english rather than fr*nch.

Pretty sure America caused that tho

>During the 17th century, French replaced Latin as the most important language of diplomacy and international relations (lingua franca). It retained this role until approximately the middle of the 20th century, when it was replaced by English as the United States became the dominant global power following the Second World War.[61][62]

Bongs should stop claiming our achievements as theirs

Yes that's why London is the cultural, economical and political center of western civilization.

>smack down the pint size french hitler and ship him off to an island (elba)
>he does a cheeky runaway
>smack him down again and ship him off to an even smaller island (st helena)

You mean of Middle Eastern civilization, innit?

...

That would be Paris

>Yes that's why London is the cultural, economical and political center of western civilization.
if this is sarcasm you're very wrong. london was economic center of the world in the 19th and early 20th century. it is also politically considering the ubiquity of the westminster system. culturally i'll hand it to you it's not epitome of high art and literature but in terms of low culture (fashion, organized sports, victorian morality, language) it is arguably the most influential

Two out of three aint bad

>Cultural
LA
>Economical
NYC
>Political
DC

>LA

niggers and spics count as culture?

dios mio... el diablo...

London is more culturally and historically significant than any other city. LA is irrelevant outside of it's film production - and the reason California has that is because an anglo-saxon purist (and Londoner) went and set up the industry. see pic.
London is STILL measurably the worlds pre-eminent financial center
>London has been the top-ranked centre from the index's inception in 2007, except from March 2014 to September 2015, when New York City led.
>Political
You may have me there, DC of Beijing but again, it would have been London from the mid 18th century through to the mid 20th.

El mutto
London until around 5 months ago was the highest ranking city with NYC over taking it

Ruling 1/3 of the world makes you objectively the capital of the world

hate to break it to you, but this isn't the 19th century pal, and even then, London has never been the political center of the western world

Nobody doubts that London is one of the most important cities in the world, and certainly in history. But its relevance has declined heavily in recent years.

>years

try decades

>second rate European power
You say that like it's a bad thing. Sure, France wasn't on the level of Britain, but it was definitely the secondmost relevant and powerful nation through the majority of the 19th century. Russia rivaled it militarily, and the US surpassed it economically later on, but on the whole the 19th century was a prosperous time for France, political instability and 1871 defeat notwithstanding.

imagine france without napoleon III

economical sure
political is berlin or brussels
cultural is undoubtedly paris

this isnt the 19th century anymore nigel

>cultural
>LA
t. l'abominacion

Fuck off, Juncker

fuck off benjamin

Fight the EU coup d'état!

The EU is the kikes though

>Anglos are still assblasted about Napoleon
I am sure he is smiling in his grave right now.
