I tried the whole bulking with not tracking. Shit was horrible.

Tracking makes it all 100% consistent and controlled.

What's also good about it is that when I want to start cutting I can just take off 100 or 200 calories from what I was bulking at, and reduce by 100-200 calories every 1-2 months as I lean down easily without hunger issues or strength loss.

My work has a salad bar, where you can make sandwiches and various salads.

It's so convenient, but unreliable. They have spicy chicken like 70% of the time. The other days I dont get a proper protein source at work. Everything is an estimate too. I sort of hate it, but I can't bring myself to start making lunch, because the food at the salad bar is tasty and fresh. No microwave bullshit.

i'm 5'10, 175lbs, and bike 18 miles in 1 hour 4-5x a week on a recumbent bike. that calculator pegs my calories burned at 1070 per hour, so 5,350 calories burned per week from cardio. that's an additional ~750 calories a day, on top of lifting.
