the rec center is HUGE but it only has 3 racks and 3 platforms which are always in use, usually like 15 minute wait minimum unless it's really early or really late, and even then, there are plenty of /plg/ types that hang around all night anyways grunting up the squat rack.

what area are you living in? s'west is ideal, it's a fucking trek to and from the rec center, even with the bus (which stops going one way at night, so i'd always have to walk back)

if you actually want a gym partner, give me a shout. i'll probably be pretty busy next semester, but who knows.
