Yes because for natties strength IS size and you want a foundation to do volume off of. What's the point of doing a roidsplit routine if you're using 20lb dumbbells for 5 exercises?

the question is silly because there's no such thing as a "strength base". when people tell novices to do a linear progression novice routine based on compound exercises (like SS) it's because they give the fastest progression overall, including both strength and size. talking about "strength base" implies that you first build just strength and then later do a routine to make you grow, but it doesn't work like that.

You can't put milk in a cup if there is no cup.

No. Go on bodybuilding forum pick up a 5 day routine and commit to it. If aesthetics is the key there is no need to follow a powerlifting routine.

5 day routines are for roiders though. You'll literally make no gains.

dumbest comment in thread by far. or bait

Do ICF or alphadestiny's novice program until you're intermediate.

Hypertrophy is a side effect of progressive overload so yes you'll need to get stronger to get bigger.

This. There's no need for strength if you want to look good. Just do the Zyzz routine and you'll look exactly like him.

Zyzz deadlifted 240 kg, squatted 160 kg and bench pressed 130 kg, your "King of Aesthetics" trained on a strength base like everyone else.

>Zyzz deadlifted 240 kg
This is total bullshit the post. A post made out of your own farts. Something so wrong it defies believe. Who would such trash, I question.

This is 210kg a year before he died. Best he ever deadlifted and it was two rep max.

what the fuck is this philosophical confucious-tier shit

No need for a cup if you just GOMAD

jesus christ

>dat bounce

Zyzz was on so many drugs he could have done any fucking thing

SS is a meme to distract newbies from using their newbie gains for mass.

That's ... not how it works

MADMILK requires no cup fool

Watch out for this snake meme merchant. He thinks str = mass

The point of a strength base is that it increases the amount of weight you can lift on a routine with more volume (for aesthetics).

If you take an intermediate/advanced split/PPL routine but can barely squat or bench 1 plate, you've just turned a decent routine into a brosplit.

IF you're dedicated, consistent, and eating properly, a basic starting routine for strength should see your lifts reach "respectable" numbers in just a few months.

The reason basic strength routines are often seen as being a waste of time, is because people fuck around on them for WAY too long.
