Yes

No

There were plenty of North Africans in the Roman Army. Most of them didn't have black skin, but a few probably did.

Yes there were a few, Nubians are black and there were Nubian citizens of Roman Egypt whop could have joined Egyptian legions, and ofc the Romans recruited auxiliaries from "free" Nubians, too. In terms of numbers they would have been a tiny minority, but they would have existed.

Just to add, there wouldn't have been any during the invasion of Britain, the non-Latin legions used for this came from Gaul and Spain, the closest we have to a black African is an auxiliary corps of Syrian archers. But after the conquest it is possible a handful of blacks made there way to Britain, tho there is no direct evidence for this.

Yeah probably their empire was in Africa, not that far fetched to think they went down a little further than we asshme

>the Romans recruited auxiliaries from "free" Nubians
proof

maybe some niggers ended up in Alexandria but Nubia was never a province

>not that far fetched to think they went down a little further than we asshme
Yes it is. There's this thing called "the Sahara Desert" that is an extremely obvious reason to think they did not go "further down", and we know that they were allied with the Nubians of Meroe, they didn't conquer them.

That's why I said "free", because they were "clients" not a province. Egypt had many Nubian citizens during Roman times, and two legions were raised in Egypt, so some blacks certainly served in the legions, as well as in the auxilia.

Yeah there actually were.

In the Roman armies that is, not in fucking Briton I may add

...

Yes. Confirmed in Roman London. Big global empires end up being ethnically diverse. It's always happened.

Global empires in the 19th century is why Europe is now diverse. A global empire in the 20th century is why America is now diverse. It's just the legacy of empire.

If you want to be billy big bolloks on a global stage you'll end up browned or blacked or whatever. That's just how it's always been going back historically. It's just a historical truth. Roman Empire was no different.

>A groundbreaking DNA study into the origins of early Londoners has found that the capital has been an ethnically diverse city from its earliest days.
>Their research found two of the individuals had origins from outside Europe, while another was from continental Europe and the fourth was a native Briton.
>The most complete skeleton the researchers studied belonged to a 14-year-old girl, who died between 300AD and 400AD, and according to an analysis of her DNA and chemicals in her teeth, grew up in North Africa.
>While she had blue eyes, featues of the teenager's skeleton, which was found in a Roman cemetery at Lant Street in Southwark, suggested she had Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
>A second skeleton, found at Mansell Street, belong to a man who was 45 or older, with very dark brown hair and brown eyes, whose mitochondrial DNA line was from North Africa and remains showed African traits.
So a blue-eyed "subsaharan" (what?) and a north African, ie, a white man. Yeah, real compelling proof of the "diversity" of early Britain. This is pure revisionist drivel, you are a fool for believing it, and a cunt or trying to trick us into being as foolish as you are.

>North African
>black

The southernmost area of the Roman world was Upper Egypt, the area just above Nubia. The Romans raised two legions in Upper Egypt. One was deployed in Greece and Thrace until it was destroyed at the Battle of Adrianople, and one was stationed in Thebes, sent to Gaul, and then decimated.

For reference, people from Upper Egypt look like pic related.

Lower Egypt/Nubia wasn't under Roman control at any time of the Empire?

But this one example must mean that rome was 25% black!

I'm actually fine with them showing some black dude for one frame.

Probably

Lower Egypt is the Nile Delta part; you're confusing upper and lower Egypt but you are right that Nubia was never a province however it was a client state

And they were all born and living in the same country, the roman empire, wich makes it a completely different situation from nowadays.
