So I'm stopping all sorts of stimulation. I'm just gonna sleep, meditate, eat, and work. It's basically taking from the noporn philosophy.

>ignore all words and ideologies unless the person is meaningful in your life
>do the best effort in everything
>church, psychedelics, and lucid dreaming help, but ideally are more enjoyable than necessary

I cut out all caffeine and it has helped me control my sleep schedule

I used to have to sleep in later each day because I got to bed later, but now I go to bed or sleep consistently around 3 or 4am

Theres nothing wrong with being stimulated and no need to nuke all stimuli and live in some kind of penance. but you should pick stimuli that are beneficial when possible.

Lifting is a good stimulus for instance.

if you really want this go for it, but as other anons have said going to the extreme especially in a sudden manner usually doesnt end up well..

ive heard of people who run alcoholics anonymous classes and such going out and taking people in their class to a bar to have a drink, some would be surprised by this but the teacher is there to try and show them moderation.
if you cant have a drink, or smoke in moderation or even be around it without flying off the handle then you were never really free from your addiction

just saying taking things in stride will probably work out much better than trying to go full monk mode, you will most likely break yourself doing that. maybe thats what you want but letting you know it may put you in a hole deeper than you were before

Yes definitely. You can pickup many bad habits by making a large set of changes so rapidly. You shoulder either do 1 of the 3 following.
>Set a realistic goal in mind for deprivation. Maybe 3 days. Maybe a weekend etc.
>Trade off bad habits for good ones 1 by 1 till eventually you have nothing worth depriving yourself from.
>Exercise 15-45 minutes of deprivation/meditation on a regular basis.
