>Decrease in obesity linked to showering in the gym
Why haven't you started yet?

>rise in obesity likely due to decline in obesity
Literally what did they mean by this?

>Rise in obesity likely due to decline in obesity

>blaming obesity for obesity

>rise in obesity blamed for rise in obesity
what
>physical exercise burns calories
>but increased caloric intake is not to blame
???

>rise in obesity likely due to decline in obesity

>what new trickery is this

They make those clickbait articles so stupid, it's like they don't even know how words work...

these

but also, they're wrong – it most definitely is about food, not a lack of exericse

Yep. Everyone fell for the "fat=bad" meme

>dont consume less, its bad for the economy. instead pay for a gym subscription

can i have a link or a good laugh

Nobody fell for it and it continues to be true.

It's likely both. Many people live in the suburbs in America and need to drive everywhere because of the convenience over walking. Our culture is basically circled around 'convenience,' specifically in terms of time-management. So people don't move around much and the energy isn't used and people are left with all the fat that could've been burned off. And on top of that, fast-food companies are competing in deals for how cheap they can make food. Kids in college, as well as high school and middle school are gonna go to fast-food places since it's cheap. But the food is cheap only because of it's low quality. As for adults, it seems that they pay incredibly little mind to health and fitness but I don't really know specifically. Likely because of our "treat yourself

>Low-Fat Diets Make Your Cholesterol WORSE

take ancel keys' cock out of your mouth for a minute and look into the current science

I really can't imagine most suburban dads of the 50's jogging and weightlifting. Maybe they tossed a football with their kids but that's about it. Meanwhile they smoked and drank like a fish and ate steak for breakfast and managed to weigh the same as the average American female today. (166 lbs)

The meat was likely better quality then and just cause they ate steak doesn't mean they ate excessive amounts of it.

I would rather this ended soon. Replace your argument with once again "convenient" and you are on point.

It's clearly a typo and supposed to say 'decline in exercise', which could plausibly be the dominating factor.

>Please don't stop buying food
>Just exercise it away please we need money

You're leaving out the prevalence of blue collar jobs back in those days, where working for most men actually meant sweating and using your muscles rather than sitting in front of a computer with terrible posture for eight hours a day.

Also those meals were home made, eating out being a treat reserved for extra special occasions.

"Rise in obesity likely due to decline in obesity"

wut....

You're right, they didn't. They did yard work, car repairs, helped neighbors, cleaned the garage, walked in general, played with their kids, and generally did more than modern people do today.
