1) How much could you bench at 15?
2) How old were you when you started to lift?

Started at 13 for middle school football

I couldn't even do the bar at 17. Never touched the iron in my life until first year of college.

I started at 25 now I'm 27. At 15 I probably could not have benched the bar I was a fat shut-in. My 1rm now is 205 lbs at 185 lbs body weight.

the bar
18

Hard to say since I didn't start lifting until more than a decade later.

I was way more into calisthenics, so I could do push-ups like a mofo, so probably 135 lbs or so.

>275 now, conservatively. Haven't tested 1RM in months and I am definitely doing heavier reps than when I did do a 275 1rm, back then I could barely do 3x5 225

1. benched 135 for 1 when i was 15
2. started seriously lifting about a year ago, but have been going to the gym technically since i was 14

Start of freshman year, 135. But nearing the end of the school year I hit 215. I weight 160.

I think 140 for one at the end of the year. I was like 165.

20. 25 now.

>tfw get injured every fucking year

>probably around 120lbs, can't really remember
>started when I was 14 as an accessory to track & field so it was mainly stuff like power cleans, half squats, chinups etc.

I never lifted at 15 but I'd imagine 1rm 100lbs. I start lifting the week I turned 22 but I didn't have my own gym membership so I had to go with my brother who had one. He stopped going so I quit within 2 months of lifting. I tried again at 24 but failed for some reason I cannot recall and now at 25 I'm going stronger at it than ever before and I'm in my 3rd-going-on-4th month without any desire to quit whatsoever. It's become an addiction now. I guess I lost motivation before because I never got over that newbie hurdle where things become easier.

>tfw didn't start lifting seriously until twenty-fucking-FIVE

I'll be a wrinkly old windbag before I get swole enough to take advantage of my gains. Just fuck my shit up senpai...

Lmao 1p8 for reps
15
At around 140lbs

Dont know since I did Thai boxing, so it was all about calisthenics.
But I could do 90 burpees before I had to puke

25kg x8 at 15, 1rm probably 35kg
Started lifting at 15 also
Now 2pl8x5 at 175 and 6'1

1) 40kg / 80lbs
2) 18yr

1) 165 lb
2) Started fooling around with weights at 14, got serious at 17.

I bought one of those shitty york benches when I was around 18 and could bench 50kg for 2 reps. Now I'm 24 and can't even bench 2pl8 yet lmao. I haven't been working out consistently since then though.

the bar (barely)

Lmao 2pl8 1rm at 15. Started lifting at 14 and basically all i did was bench until failure with my friend after school. Had no real knowledge of lifting whatsoever

>tfw bench 100lbs at age 20
>tfw little brother lifts more

You could bench 1.5 plate at age 15

Impressive

i still have very weak bench but at 15 i could deadlift a hundred kilos at least.

15

One of those cheap York bars with a vinyl 20 each side for 6-8 reps when I was 13-14

I ended up being able to push press it by the time I was 15

I thought I was such hot shit lel even though I was just a chubby little fag with a slight bodyweight advantage. Me and my friends would do work outs (mostly consisting of bench curls, sit ups and more curls till failure) in one of our richfag friendS garages. We would also have boxing matches with 8oz gloves that went until one of us gave up or was knocked down and hurt. Really stupid shit .

Started at 16yo after me and my mates got our asses kicked really hard at rugby.
I'm 39yo by the way, we didn't give too much importance to lifting when we were young lads.

>totally not exaggerating

>1) How much could you bench at 15?
>wasting your prime youth gymceling
>2) How old were you when you started to lift?
19 or 20.

1) about 100 lbs
2) 14-15 at my dad's home gym

60 kilo
14

I started lifting at 16, and could bench 135lbs for one rep within a week of training.

The form was pathetic af tho, I just did it for the ego boost.

kek, i started lifting at 14.5/15

i was a weak fuark back then, probably 100-110

1rm 185 at 150 pounds after 4 months training. Got lazy and stopped lifting for years. Started lifting again and got to 235 1rm 165 bodyweight 8 years later

14. I started out benching 65lbs

When I was 14 we had to bench with a Smith machine in gym class. I was a late bloomer so I was under 5ft and couldn't even get 5 reps at 60lbs (I think, memory is foggy). Never benched/lifted again until age 24.

>almost 1pl8
>16

>probably 70kg
>22(few weeks back)

There was one guy who made it into the 650 club before highschool. 200 pound bench 300 squat 150 power clean.

Thanks. It was right before high-school started for me. Our middle school and high-school had our teams train together during the offseason so all of us weightlifted from the start of 7th grade. There was 2 guys who could bench 200 pounds when we wete in 8th grade it was nuts.

All these people are fucking lying, I did 65 lbs I think first time I benched the next sesh I hit 75 after 4 after that @ 95.

Grew quickly, you just need to learn form.

1) 215 lbs
2)Early freshman year (14)
But id almost never do anything other than bench or curls

I couldn't do a push up at 15
Started lifting at 21

1) less than 65lbs (couldn't unrack 65)
2) 16

>135 3×10
>started lifting at 11 because I weighed 100 lbs with wet clothes on and lifting gave me confidence

1) 115
2) 14

>1) How much could you bench at 15?
a plate, but thats because i played football as a freshmen and they wanted to see how much we could do
>2) How old were you when you started to lift?
on and off again for 2 years from 16 to 19, 19-20 is when i really started to lift

I think I was benching 1pl8 in gym class in highschool.

23. im 24 now

I benched 240 lbs at 15, weighed 155 lbs.
Started lifting at 12

Maxed at 175, 100 for 10 reps and 140 for 4 reps

like 40lbs. I almost died when I put over 100lbs on it in my room.
22

Idk, but I did 135x3 at 16 my first time ever benching. I was a major push-up fag at the time though, and had done manual labor and shit. I was a 135 lb skellington.

230 lbs at 15 started at 13, but I played a lot of sports growing up.

125

I benched 185 at 130 lbs bodyweight at 14 after ayear training

It wasn't hard. My freshman year I was repping 135.... but I got held back a year once.
