Name ONE(1) disadvantage of killing yourself.
Suicide is the logical conclusion of philosophy.

What if there is no boipucci in heaven?

>logical conclusion of philosophy.
What was the question?

Pleasure is only temporary anyway

The good old

i believe reincarnation to be true

suicide would only lead to an equal-or-shittier rebirth

i'd rather not take my chances

>I plan to live forever, of course, but barring that I'd settle for a couple thousand years. Even five hundred would be pretty nice.

Death is the great thief.

The person you literally quoted give you a reason. It’s a sign of weakness, a confession that life is not worth living. You have to rebel, fight a losing battle just for the thrill of it

16777216 is the true answer to infinity.

man fuck camus

Not being able to do that again.

Looking bad, I want to die fit!
Can't kill myself if I look like a blob.

To be, or not to be? That is the question—
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And, by opposing, end them? To die, to sleep—
No more—and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to—’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished! To die, to sleep.
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country from whose bourn
No traveler returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.

pretty much.

Exactly. Stop being a coward and kys

Hell.

If you believe in hell, you will go to it anyways, simply because you're a faggot and browse this site

>simply because you're a faggot and browse this site
No.

good post.

You cease having the option to live rightly

Replying. Like. This. Is. Retarded.

And what does living rightly give you in return? In the permanent sense of things

You're the first person in this thread to reply like that.

A satisfaction in doing what you have been accorded to do.

Well, you will cease to be. And you will never be able to shitpost on Veeky Forums anymore.

Satisfaction is temporary
Suicide is like going to sleep and never waking up
Literally no downsides

>Implying you exist when you sleep
It's almost like you haven't heard of cogito ergo sum, pleb

How is suicide the logical consequence of philosophy? Even the absurdists insist that persisting in the face of absence of meaning is one's responsibility. Other than that, there is a big issue whether suicidality is rational behavior; given the high correlation between depression and suicide, it is likely to be irrational. Moral arguments against suicide range from deontological (the problem of universalisation of the suicidal act, the sanctity of life) religious, utilitarian etc. Also, if you take the well being of others who care about you into account, suicide has a significant disadvantage.

>quoting Camus when making a point FOR suicide

Just for an individual personally, what disadvantage would suicide have?

Even temporary satisfaction has some value. I would say that it's much more entertaining to be alive than dead.
You'll be dead eventually anyway; why rush? You have an infinite amount of time to be dead, but you only have a very small amount of time to be alive. You might as well do something while you're here.

Or you might just kill yourself, because your never know what could happen to your in your finite lifetime. Yes, you may live a good life, but the probability of that is miniscule nowadays. So why not just end it? In the grand scheme of things, anything you accomplish here doesn't matter anyway.

>Name ONE(1) disadvantage of killing yourself.
Being dead.

If suicide is so good why haven't you done it?

Who says im not going to do it? I'm just saying it's better to suicide yourself than to suffer through life for more than 50 years, not to kys asap.
If you enjoy life right now, you can keep enjoying it, but as soon as I start to suffer I will do it.

Woah you really convinced me there buddy

Woah you really convinced me there buddy

any stupid faggot can kill himself, doesn't make him a master of philosophy

Not knowing if life is actually worth living because you cut short the possibility of ever knowing it.

I addressed this here

Then choosing not to is also a perfectly valid answer, and clearly vastly the most popular one.

>Suicide is like going to sleep and never waking up

[citation needed]

I suicided, can confirm. Also a sleepwalker.

Really? You have the sheer luck of being born into self-reflective consciousness on a world filled with beauty and you think it would be egoistical to appreciate it? Perhaps you don't understand where you are. You hide from the world. You hide from beauty. Does beauty hurt your argument? Your "philosophy" that nothing on the face of this world matters? Have you considered the possibility that you are a coward? I think, in all its beauty and complexity and love, scares the hell out of you.

Is it a sign of strength to pursue something that isn't worth it?

The object isn't the point, you brainlet. Read "The Myth of Sisyphus". There is nobility in the struggle.

>Muh struggle is good
It really isn't. For all of humanitys history, we have been fighting to reduce struggle. So why not just end it immediately?
There are reports from people who were clinically dead. It's the same as losing consciousness.
Sure, if you want to keep suffering. But it is clearly the inferior option

Because I choose to, just like you could choose to kill yourself. Without struggle comes languishment.
