You should never decline bench. It's an important lift.
Incline hits a few other secondary muscles, but the biggest difference is that the chest's upper area is targeted more. Definitely go with a flat bench as it's going to target the whole area of the chest so you can get the gains you need for a good chest.

I've only been doing flat bench for 3 months. The other day I decided to add some incline DB presses and the next day I got DOMS similar to when I started hitting the gym. Does this mean my upper chest has not been getting targeted when doing flat bench?
