How long it takes to hit 1/2/3/4?

How long it takes to hit 1/2/3/4?

Nice stuff, I really appreciate when fish and chips is in something other then 6 year old newspaper.

The answer is it depends.

Are you a girl? Are you Pre-40 or Post-40? Have you ever done any sports? Are you cutting or bulking? Do you care much about muh abs and muh clean bulk? Are you retarded with your training, or go with a proper program? Do you have normal test?

But let's assume you're an average test pre 30 year old male who has done no sports. Then it would probably take you 1-1.5 years if you clean bulk/are cutting and follow a program like SS followed by texas method.
You can achieve it sooner if you eat like a porker and not give a fuck about looks but then you end up fat and need to cut.

Also 1/2/3/4 rarely gets hit at the same time, I am a manlet with really good proportions for squat and bench however horrible t-rex arms I reached 4pl8 squat at the same time I hit a 4pl8 deadlifts and the squat was in IPF approved comp in case people want to bitch about muh half squats.

this
Anyone who brags about getting
1/2/3/4 in 3 months either played sports for years or is a fatass with abysmal form

If you aren't a super skinny teenager or a woman, like half a year of consistent training several times per week, preferably hitting each exercise at least twice per week. Obviously it takes less time if you already have some muscles.

I thought they stopped doing this in the 80's. Where do you live?

I'm kind of guessing that you're an American that goes to a "ye olde fish and chip shoppe" that's supposed to be a copy of what Americans think chippys are like here.

No New Zealand, chinamen are cheap bastards. Its only the white places who dont do newspaper.

I prefer it; it soaks up a lot of the grease.

Ah right, well that makes sense
Fucking chinks

About 4 units of time.

Seriously, its vastly different for everyone due to age, genetics, starting point, limb lengths etc.

It takes as long as it takes and as long as you are making progress then everything is fine.
Also don't ever listen to anyone on Veeky Forums, not even me.

1/2/3/4 is a Veeky Forums meme. To be completely honest Ive been lifting for 7 years and the only moment I was able to diddle over 4 plates was when I was a fatass. Rn I am content with beltless dling 3 and some change.

As this guy said, people physique differs and so they hit certain goalposts at different time.

It huegly depends on your genetics and what end of the stick did you get from mother nature.

Normies rarely lift that much, ever (except maybe for sub 2 plates BP).

Its easily doable to hit 1/2/3/4 when you start to roid.

On Veeky Forums it should take you no longer than 6 weeks.

26/m, Took me 7 months.
Squat high bar, ATG. Short limbs so good at bench. OHP was by far the hardest lift to progress on.

I have been working as a laborer since 15 though, which definitely helped.

this is retarded

if you're training for strength and eating enough and putting on weight, 1/2/3/4 is a completely attainable goal within a year. if all your shit isnt on point 100% of the time maybe 1.5-2 years.

don't listen to these fags saying they can't do it, they're just weak and have never applied themselves to try harder and eat enough.

11 months and im at
>166kg dl
>155kg sq
>90kg bp
>60kg ohp
6'1" 95kg
(didnt have a program til january tho)

Im not disagreeing with you. 1/2/3/4 are decent lifts, but its easy to achieve those by letting go of your diet. There is a big difference between 1/2/3/4@12%bf and 20%bf

if you do a brosplit it might take years
if you do SS it might take anywhere from 5 to 10months

assuming you start from zero

You can achieve 1/2/3/4 within 2 years at 12%bfat 1year if you let go of diet you're probably a brosplit fag.

>You can achieve 1/2/3/4 within 2 years at 12%bfat
for majority of people thats bullshit and you know it

>you're probably a brosplit fag
nice ad hominem, faggot

I'd say one year if you look average.
But it all depends on your approach. If you're only lifting 3 times a week and you're running 3 times a week, it will take a little longer

>>started from skinnyfat at 30
>>lift 5 years
>>still untrained level weight.

Stop making me feel bad

but what does he need to tell superman?

How? You must be benching like 40kg then?

>for majority of people thats bullshit and you know it
It sure fucking is the only people that make 0 gains for longest of years either brosplit fags or retards that think losing your abs while bulking is the end of the world so they keep going in this weird bulk cut mini cycles and make no gains.

Going once a month doesn't count as lifting for 5 years.

He doesn't have long to live. Basically too much power.

ohp35 b45 s85 d90
No beginner gains, adding weight to the bar just leads to significant degradation in form and failure
My sleep has been a mess for years, but even so.

The question doesn't make much sense does it.
I'm a skinny dude, I will probably never reach 80 kgs without having a big belly, The amount of time it takes for someone like me to reach 1/2/3/4 is clearly not the same as the time it takes for a guy weighing 90 kgs.

you are just bitter arent you

m8 i'm not the one that can't even dl 4pl8 after 7 years or the guy that can't lift more than women in 5 years.

Damn man those are pretty bad. Sounds like you have more problems than lack of sleep.

Height and weight? I am amazed you justify being such a weakling with your genetics. 7 years of lifting and you can't pull 4pl8? Are you skeleton mode or what? Either mother nature actually raped you or making excuses. I agree that normies won't hit 1234 but normies also don't have 7 years of lifting experience.

noice one mate, I dunno why but that really bugged me

Are you actually eating more than your TDEE? How much sleep are you getting?

Currently at 5 months in of a bro split. Havnt been able to diddly in a while and didnt do them much anyway. Dont count my calories but know I get 130-150 protons. I hover around maintenance but know I dip below cause Ive lost 4kg since I started. My aim is to hit 3pl8 squat in 4 months time and start aiming for 1.5/3/4/5 I will be starting a different routine soon to completely focus on strength/power to then eventually go on to Olympic lifts. Im not here to boast Im just giving an example how genetics play the biggest role in how you progress in the gym

171cm/75kg. Right now Im at ~65 ohp, 110 bp, 130 squat and 140 dl. I actually enjoy lifting as a hobby, some of us have life outside of gym too. Also I dont feel like I have to overcompensate by taking steroids and wasting my health.

If you're not bullshitting, yes, you're a evidence that genetics are extremely important.
Proficient in 5 months?
shit, i'm jelly

If you're a young, healthy male and not a dead end, 6-10 months depending on genetics and previous athletic adventures.

Is 1/2/3/4 for reps or max?

Starting from 65 lbs
If you have a good program, workout 5 days a week, eat above your tdee and drink whey or mass gainers, in 1 year or maybe even left

its whatever you want it to be

There is no way is this possible. Either you're lying or you played sports all your life.

Those are decent numbers for your weight, OHP and Bench are especially impressive, although your deadlift is lagging behind. I misunderstood your '7 years' comment for 7 years of dedicated lifting, not on and off as a hobby, which explains why your comment threw me. I lift as a hobby too, have a full time job, socialise most weekends and have a partner. 1234 is easily attainable for a majority of people if they follow a good plan, eat right with discipline and commit themselves to a fair amount of sessions a week. Anyone who has to use steroids to achieve 1234 should be ashamed of themselves.

The only thing that would of been relevant is 2 years of kick boxing. I had just under a years break then started kick boxing again and also weight lifting. Before that I was inactive for a few years

4 months in and I'm at 1/2/2/3. Dumb fucked ass legs. Squats fucking drain me
