To fix central America United States needs to legalize, or at least decriminalize, drugs.

I also agree that the "macho" culture is holding them back, the way they treat women there is like 50-100 years in the past, unless you compare to some muslim countries.

But eradication of the profitable drug-trade is the solution. It would ultimatley fix alot of the corruption because also that has it's roots in the drugs, the money that comes from it.

The solution would be to dramatically reduce the size of militaries, for the US and EU to adopt aggressive demand reduction policies for drugs, and to replace the agricultural economy with an industrial economy that has higher social mobility and labor productivity.

Pretty much no civilized country takes classical liberalism seriously anymore, most of them have already progressed towards left-leaning social liberalism.
