I would tell you to simply eat less food, but when you are as fat as you are, it shows that you lack the self control to eat right. You simply don't have the ability to eat less food, the statement and the action is too ambiguous.

So instead, simply eat one meal a day. Make it healthy and nutritious. The rule is simple and clear. You are allowed to eat once. No snacks in between, other than water. You place your food on one plate, then you eat everything on that plate with a glass of water. Then you are done. You don't go for second portions.

Honestly, this all seems a bit confusing. Which weight loss supplement should I take? I'm also trying to get thyroxine (my friend told me it helps with weight loss) but my doctor refuses to give me a prescription for it.

Weight loss supplements are garbage memes. Unless you want to roid it up theres no such thing as a weight loss drug. Eating less and healthy is a lot better for you anyways. Just take the diet that user posted and roll with it. Don't make a bunch of crazy substitutions because that's how you fall off the train.

Didn't watch the link but what was described is a lot like intermittent fasting which I am a fan of. Limiting yourself to one meal ensures that you don't down a bunch of calories inside your "window" though which is obviously beneficial if you are undisciplined which most people are or else they wouldn't be trying to drastically alter their diet.

Yes - I do one meal a day when I'm trying to cut, and I cut out sugar and eat a shitload of protein, and the fat melts off.

Also lift weights.

Diet tells your body how fat to be. Lifting tells your body what to do with the food you eat (turn it into lean body mass)

I personally just eat a really big dinner around 7pm. The first week sucks and you'll be pretty hungry, so if this doesn't work for you and you just cant handle it, try something like a keto diet.

IMO the diet the guy posted above ()
is too low fat - which is good for a short diet, but not sustainable for a long one) and you'll fall off the wagon after a couple weeks, and you need something that you can stick with for a LONG time.

Anything you do is going to require a habit/lifestyle change - so the first part of any diet change is going to be tough but you have to power through it.

If I can't cut it, can't I eat two meals a day? Maybe one large morning and a small dinner?

As somebody who's lost 115 lbs in a year with muscular dystrophy slowing me down every step of the way, all you need to do is eat less calories a day than you burn a day.

284 lbs at 5'8"? As long as you eat less than 2000 a day, you'll lose weight because your base metabolic rate is about 2500ish.

Honestly, that is easy, I ate 2200 a day when I was 300+ and didnt feel hungry but lost 2 lbs a week(cause Im a male, bmr is different for genders).

Thats not even counting any working out you do, so the hardest part is just counting your calories. Look up whats in what you're eating, add that to everything else you eat for the day, and try to eat less than your limit. Lower your limit as you lose more weight accordingly.

If you do 2 meals a day, make them within a 6-8 hour window, like lunch at 2:00, dinner at 7:30, and be even more careful about carbs - NO simple carbs (soda, white bread, rice, packaged foods, etc) and small amounts of beans or something.

More than a half cup of cooked brown rice is not ideal IMO. You really want the majority of your calories coming from protein/fat.

Fasting/Intermitent fasting is hands down the best fat losing "diet" with keto being a close 2nd. The good things about these are that they are sustainable long term and are actually healthy, unlike all those shit fad diets.
Start with 2 meals as another user said smth lunch and early dinner. No snacking and cut sugars. Sugar makes you fat not sugar, especially high frequency sugar( snacking, so your insulin never has time to go down, so you are always putting on weight instead of losing)
After about 1 week your body adapts and you wont feel hungry during the day and will not crave sugars anymore
