Only 5lbs more to 2pl8 bench

>only 5lbs more to 2pl8 bench

feels good man

We're all going to make it

10 reps or it doesn't count

>uses base-10 for fitness goals

Have to shoot for 13. Prime number.

>fucking weakling thinks 10 is the standard
50 reps or bust fag

1 is best prime

>not 7 reps
Has no one ever made it on this board?

Yeah if you're fucking batman or something
Normal people can't even deadlift 2p8

Right behind you user
>10lbs away from lmao2pl8

>210 for 6 reps
>adding 5lbs a week
>snap my wrist up
>can't barbell bench at all

There's a negative energy in this world always preventing me from making it

>tfw I could bench 2pl8s on the first time in the gym
did some boxing for 3 years though

Good job user

I'm 6'0 and weigh 167-170lbs and can bench 2pl8 for about 4-6 reps. Is that good for my size or should I be benching more?

Sure you could buddy

When people say 2pl8, should I assume they mean one rep? Or 5*5?

Hit 2pl8 for first time in my life on Friday.

After 25 years of being a lanklet I feel like Ive finally accomplished something big. Started from the bottom now we're here. 6'2" 150lbs in highschool could barely bench 95.

WEVE ONLY JUST BEGUUUUN. TO LIIIIVVE. WHITE LACE AND PROMISES. A KISS FOR LUCK AND WERE ON OUR WAYYYYYY.

I can't imagine anyone walking into the gym and having good bench form their first time, much less bench 2 pl8 with good form.

He probably thinks 2pl8 is literally 2 plates (135)

I'd say it's 50/50 people meaning 1 rep or 5. Not 5x5 though

We're all going to make it brahs. keep at it

How long it took you? Also stats please

>tfw could bench 3pl8 first time in the gym
Good genetics tho brah

OP I hope you will tear your right pec when you try 2pl8 for the first time. You won't be able to lift for 6 months and lose all your gains. Haha you stupid faggot

dont put too much leverage on your wrists bro thats a deathwish

>that feel when finished 12 reps set of 30 kg on inclined benchpress for the first time

I've been lifting seriously for like 8 weeks
I bet the average male could dead 2 plate in a similar time frame.

It took a while. I started in highschool like 10 years ago and ive lifted collectively maybe 5 of those years in shitty on/off spurts.

Ive been going serious since this January. When i say serious i mean taking eating seriously.

Running Wendler 5/3/1 with extra accessories. Eating more than i used to but still not counting.

OHP: 130x2
Bench: 225x1
Front Squat: 255x1
DL: 385x1

>255 front squat
Noice

What app?

You people are terrible at lifting. Jesus fucking christ.

>tfw only just hit 50kg bench
>started at just the bar

>tfw not even at 2pl8 squat (just did 90kg 5x5 today)

>tfw deadlifted 2pl8 the other day

>tfw 40kg OHP and I'm not too bothered by OHP as much because it feels like there's a universal agreement its harder to do and the weight expectation is lower - like i've never seen anyone in my normie gym do above 40kg OHP

>tfw barbell row 62.5 kg though which is more than some people in my gym can deadlift

Thanks man u da real deal

It's weightxreps.com

please tell me where you lift so I can show up and mog everyone

>130 ohp
>225 bench

Is a big gap like this normal?

I can ohp 125 and i'm nowhere near 225 bench

It means 1. But it's a common troll/meme to say it's more.

Where do you put the 3rd plate and keep it balanced?

Found the homosexual mathlet.
1 is not a prime.

Stop this meme before it starts.

>only 5lbs more to 300 bench

It's an ultra normie wageslave gym right next to a load of offices in southwark, London :^)

each plate is 20 kg

3 plate = 60 kg bench, or the bar + 20 kg on each side is 3 plate

this.

finally someone who actually knows what they're talking about

1/3 of my over-all goal completed: Being able to squat, deadlift and bench 100 kg - Deadlift done, two to go.

Everybody has a different path.

But in my xp theres usually a larger gap. Bench is usually the stonger lift by a margin.

How long have you been lifting? How often per week do you train OHP and bench?.

have a feeling this is bait, but ima bite anyway.

That doesn't sound right - anyone in decent shape can do 3 plate then. I thought three plate meant three 45 pound/20kg plates on each side of an olympic bar (also 45 pound/20kg)

use logic annon, thats way more than 3 plates what you're describing

>stuck on 132kg bench for 1 month now
I just want to hit that 3pl8 already

Ive been grossly underestimating myself then. I just figured I was weak as shit because I just started.

Really though, this is true? :
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 != 135lb / 225lb / 315lb / 405lb

Then what's this dude talking about?
2pl8 = 100kg
3pl8 = 140kg
user closing the distance

I was 140lbs with a 65lb bench and I've now got a 245lb 1rm at 165lb bw.

I still don't feel like I've hit my goal yet, I want to bench 2x bw but that's gonna be a long ass time

stop taking the b8, Xpl8 = X 45lb plates per side

>tfw in order to hit 2x I would have to bench 450 lbs

a little under a year now, 125 ohp, 170 bench (shit progress I know)

I ohp once per week and bench twice, madcow 5x5

2 is the only even prime number. 2 is best prime, you literally can't refute this

>not able to bench 17pl8 for 468 reps on day one
>shit tier genetics confirmed
>never gonna make it

Ive found good progress benching once a week with my 5/3/1 program and doing 60-70% max DB bench one other day of the week.

Maybe twice a week is too much?

Just gotta find whats right, man. A program that has good periodization and volume and a good surplus diet.

assholes

I like that picture very much for some reason.

dude, google it for yourself, the stories posted here are autfitstic tales of fitction

Me too bro. Then we'll only be five pounds away from doing REAL weight. Just like always

Just hit 2 pl8 bench on Friday, I've only be back at the gym since April 30th. I'm proud of myself I've always had a big chest and I'm kind of shocked I did it in 2.5 months from the couch

>tfw benched 246 for pause reps last week

>5 more kg to one plate bench
>Bench is stuck and not going up

Help me chads and bros..

Eat more

This

do 3 sets with 115 and 3 sets with 125

>good feels

Talked to a roastie

>tfw started at 55 kg and gained to 62 kg but also gained some fat

... Besides eating more? Maybe eating more but not too much?

I'm following GSLP, how do I incorporate that into the bench days? Do I do 3x5 of 55kg, then another 3x5 of 52.5kg?

yes you can, can you do it with more reps?

My last AMRAP set of 52.5 kg was 7 reps so I guess... Maybe 6 reps of it per set?

Just a little behind you guys, but my lifts are still going up
>20lbs away from lmao2pl8

>lost 20 pounds
>been working out 6 days a week consistently for the first time in my life

>tfw 265lb bench max and 255lb squat max

t. clinically depressed faggo

How am I doing Veeky Forums? 6'0 180 lbs

Woooooooooooooooo

noice. I just went from < 2 plate to 4 plate in seconds. Thanks

>lifting for 5 months now
>can barely do 1pl8 for 5x5
kill me

>start at 80 lb bench
>now doing 130 3x5 6 weeks later
