the zen way works the best for me, the strict form and state is especially useful if your mind is fucking racing all the time. i didn't realize i thought this much and fast until i tried to actually stop thinking.
zen basics (shortest text you're going to get):
get into full lotus, elevate your ass with a small, hard pillow, put your left hand on top of your right, thumbs touching and forming a straight line, posture perfectly straight, chin tucked in and you want to elevate the top of your head as high as possible.. eyes are open and looking THROUGH the floor (you don't want to look at a specific point, your vision needs to be blurred) about 3 feet (or 1 meter) in front of you..

your hands should be touching your belly and fingers touching your feet.

breathing is very important, maintain the right posture; inhalation is kept natural but the exhalation should be done consciously, heavy and slow, so focus on the exhalation. it should be at a rhythm and deep and long.

OP tip: simply observe the thoughts that come up without any judgment. as if you're watching them, don't try to suppress them or think about why you think those thoughts.

forgot to add, your palms should be facing upwards if it wasnt already obvious
and scapula slightly rotated backwards and pulled back, very slightly. also don't arch your back too much
