they tried but their air conditioning kept breaking down from the dust so they left

Racism.

They were good on steel, but lacked guns and germs.

Malaria. The world would be almost completely European Genetically outside of Asia if it wasn't for Malaria.

Its sub the Sahara

Too far away and not enough incentives to actually keep an enclave or any sort of colony. Plus Malari and the Sahara itself.

Because they didn't had the capacity to do so, when Tuaregs and Dioula are crossing the Sahara for thousands of years. Even Ibn Buttata has better traveling ability than the entire Roman army.

1. They didn't need it
2. For the same reason sub saharan Africans didn't travel outside of Africa except the Comoros.

end your own life

Malaria was pretty common in southern europe up until to the middle ages.

What changed in the Middle Ages?

They would have known nogs came from some place south of the desert but somehow didn't really care to find out, no idea why.

They should have expanded through Egypt into east Africa

Italians drained the swamps.

Romans were parasitic and could only thrive by feeding off productive,
populous, wealthy, existing civilizations. Sparsely populated unproductive regions were ignored.

If they could keep up supply lines, they would have conquered India/China before Steppe tribes, due to the former's wealth.

Sumptibus Beneficiis Libri quod non in melius commeatus extendunt.

they feared the ottoman warrior

They had several expeditions and even brought back a rhino
They got mad at Somalians getting rich from the Indan Ocean trade and annexed Nabataea just to keep an eye on the African east coast.

They wanted to but the Nubians beat them

>feeding off productive, populous, wealthy, existing civilizations.

t. butthurt gaul

this

That's why I always laugh at "we wuz" memes, people are against afrocentrism but ok with Jesus looking like a Viking, and they think Romans were some type of invisible army but Nubians and Kushites BTFO them.

Arab slave trade.

Ops. Sorry wrong reply.

Romans were pretty good but not invincible, they lost a number of Legions.

Aforcentrism is retarded alt-history, nobody minds until butthurt commie afroburger college kids with an inferiority complex try to act like it's serious.

Viking Jesus is not a problem for you? This is not "Eurocentrism"?

Not really, neither would be nigger Jesus. It makes sense artists took license to make him look somewhat relatable, doesn't it?

They feared the black warrior

You have to go mid Sahara first... you see the problem here right?

Romans fighting niggers lol

It's not really a problem. One because who would want to worship a deity that doesn't resemble them especially the self-conscious. Two I recall there being a verse that says that God will take the most relatable form that makes you feel comfortable talking to Him. Christians are lucky that they have that.

It's false, but it's not as cringe as saying that sub-saharan negroes had civilizations and "kingdoms".

APOLOGIZE!

When you are projecting this image of Viking Jesus to everyone (which is a big thing)then it's eurocentric.

You are completing ignoring the MASSIVE Anthropocentric shit that went on through out history. It's way more harmful then Afrocentrism because due to said Eurocentrism of the past that was projected to non-European peoples we had to rewrite a fuckton of shit and basically start from zero in a lot of things because our prior beliefs were completely wrong with no basis in reality or logical rational.

>non-European peoples we had to rewrite a fuckton of shit and basically start from zero in a lot of things because our prior beliefs were completely wrong

They were completely wrong.
Modern science was developed in Europe.

the Portuguese thought otherwise

And the arabs thought otherwise.

Kushites are "nigger".

Stop using the N-word, please. Why people on Veeky Forums are so racist?

Talking about history user. Also we lost /neglected a fuckton of historical witness accounts and local portrayal of historical events because back then it wasn't worth the investigation in the eyes of people back then.

they say the people were shit not the kingdoms

Fair enough. The expansion of any civilization is a creative destruction kind of thing, it is self-centric by nature.

We don't know much about Gauls because they got BTFO and didn't write books, the History we inherited doesn't celebrate them, it doesn't mean they didn't do their own thing but the fact is it didn't matter after they were conquered and integrated into the Roman Empire.

There is nothing wrong with African History as such, it's just embarrassing when people go full Tariq Nasheed about it.

That's the thing. We had a fuckton of people and places were could have done massive amounts of archaeological and historical research as well of a ton of people to learn about the the areas but we neglected it because we gave no shits about it or brushed it off as irrelevant and now it's all lost to time or inaccessible due to current conflict and the fucked up pat is that is was completely open to anyone to research (which some Europeans did).

It was only through sheer luck did a guy learn that the Haya had a process of making Steel and only a small group of elders remembered it.l.

Best post on the thread.

For me, people go "full stormfront" when they paint Jesus as a Viking.

Trade was sporadic and only really happened with Garamantes as middle men or coincidental run ins. For example in the ancient city of Gao Saney (Mali west africa) at the Bura cemetery there was a Bronze Janus statue found that was made in Cyrenaica dating to the 3rd century ad. Also rock art depicting horse draw chariots suggest a pre Islamic trans Saharan trade Network extending from North Africa to Mali, Niger, etc. Plus the text like the voyage of Hanno and maps made by Herodotus suggest that the Phoenicians were pretty much the only Mediterranean civilization in direct trade relations with Black West Africans.

Sources?

Black warrior

Shut up barbarian

Malaria was in the Roman territories too retard

Although there is malaria in swamps in Italy, in the tropics it is far more widespread and a far bigger problem. The mere presence of malaria in an area does not mean the same chances of getting it, don't think in terms of absolutes.

In the context of this discussion makes a good point, malaria and other diseases as well as pests and diseases that (strongly) affect crops and animals inhibited civilization in the hot regions of the world.

WE WUZ CIVILAYZASHUNS N SHIET
Amirite Tyrone/Arturo/Ferdinand?

It's because Nigger sounds great and funny.

Niger is also the name of a nigger country.

Something you might find interesting, I know I did.

Nigger is the colloquial term. The technical term is Negroid or Congoid.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negroid

>The technical term is Negroid

Aka Groid.

Wouldn't it be Congoloid? Also whiteoid sounds funny af and I love that meme.

I know, I don't use the term "nigger" when referring to niggers in a scientific dispute.
Negroid is also quite a popular word in polish which always makes me laugh, as our word for nigger (czarnuch) isn't as colorful as its english counterpart.

I think a much bigger problem (theologically) is that pictures of Jesus are based on Cesare Borgia, a real person, so isn't having them in churchs and shit a form of idoltary?

>pictures of Jesus are based on Cesare Borgia
This isn't true, it was made up by some guy from the Wu Tang Clan in the 90s, promoted by Afrocentrists who were fans of his, and seems to have, unfortunately, become a widely-believed myth.

Ptolemy's Geographia described towns in ancient West Africa (Libya interior) as well.
Somewhere buried in the Histories by Herodotus is the story of the silent trade in gold between Carthaginians and ancient west Africans at either Cerne off the coast of Modern day Mauritania or around the Night of Benin. In the Periplus of the Erythrean sea Towns from modern day Somalia, Kenya, and Tanzania are described such as Sarapion, Opone, and Azania in the early Indian ocean trade.

>Takedda
Did Oda fear the African warrior?

They were repelled by Nubia

>Viking Jesus

Jesus is always portrayed as a med looking dude
