Who was the better man? Who deserved to unite China?

Who was the better man? Who deserved to unite China?

Based Mengde of course.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown of the three kingdoms period

Coa motherfucking Coa

>Corruption and civil uprisings destroy the unity of the Han dynasty
>local lords basically declare themself independent and start fighting each other for supremacy
>after a couple decades of infighting, three factions emerge: Wei (blue), Wu (red) and Shu (green)
>they each declare themselves a new imperial dynasty and fight each other for supremacy over the course of three generations
>eventually Wei (after a dynastic takeover where the name changes to Jin) conquers the other two and a new period of proper chinese dynastic control begins: the Jin dynasty
All of this is important because half the dynasties that followed this shitflinging contest claim descent from one of the kingdoms, so each faction got periodically vilified and glorified as convenient, spawning an unbelievable amount of literature and cultural tradition (even religious cults) that still keeps going strong in the present day.
The closest comparison I can think of is the late roman republic and early empire transition period, but even with all the immense cultural shitflinging of the middle ages it still comes short.

Jesus, no wonder it's so bloody complicated to research when trying to avoid romanticized accounts. Thanks mate

What do you mean?
The best man won in the end.

Why was Sun Quan so irrelevant when compared to other two?

Sima Yi?

Chiang Kai-Shek

Say what ? you little bitch

They were all shit, but I like Wu the most
>Coa

It is also worth noting that the Han ushered in 400 years of unity and peace (besides Wang Mang's shenanigans and a few minor bumps) unseen in Chinese history. The histories talk of it being united in some distant past, but really these polities didn't extend much beyond the territories of the northern plain. When it ended it was like the apocalypse.

The Sima Clan

The best man deserves to rule?

...

Best emperor
>In 281, Emperor Wu took 5,000 women from Sun Hao's palace into his own, and thereafter became even more concentrated on feasting and enjoying the women, rather than on important matters of state. It was said that there were so many beautiful women in the palace that he did not know whom he should have sexual relations with; he therefore rode on a small cart drawn by goats, and wherever the goats would stop, he would stop there, as well. Because of this, many of the women planted bamboo leaves and salt outside their bedrooms — both items said to be favored by goats. Empress Yang's father Yang Jun and uncles Yang Yao (楊珧) and Yang Ji (楊濟) became effectively in power.
