Capitalism, communism, and nationalism were secular replacements for the shrinking role of religion in society

>capitalism, communism, and nationalism were secular replacements for the shrinking role of religion in society

No shit. Humans need something beyond themselves to cling to. A struggle. Maybe it's a religious struggle where you cling to your gods to survive and eventually reach the afterlife. Maybe it's a class struggle where you cling to the ever ongoing revolution to bring about utopia. Maybe it's a struggle against the international banking cartels to secure a future for your nation (which will be a utopia).
Love it or hate it, religion evolved alongside the human animal. Memes in an organism that has society (be it tribal or up) are about as useful as genes. And past a certain point, you might even evolve with a predisposition for certain memes.

I FUCKING WARNED ALL OF YOU

art is the only way out.

>tfw if people only listened to nietzsche they would realize they don't need these things to tell them what to value

ofc humans need a belief in something to not commit suicide
racism is a left wing ideology because it's pro-collectivist

But are the major religions philosophy or ideology?

The human being always worships - the state was a replacement for God. Most people cannot be enlightened - they are so ensnared, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will always fight to protect it.

Nationalism predates seculiarism. But yeah, maybe.

Maybe that's why the 30s years war is the WW1 of its era.

Yes and struggle against aesthetics

fucking this

Sure, that's a part of what they are (and for some people, all they are), but calling them just a replacement for religion is reductionist. That's just one angle.

Capitalism is definitely more than a religion, and fascism is a little more than a religion, but communism is deadass a religion

>neetche having anything of value to say
AHHAHAHAHAH

>capitalism
You meant consumerism?

capitalism caused the shrinking role of religion in society, with nationalism being created with the rise of nation-states as a result of the de-centralization of political power from religious hierarchies.

>implying nietzche wasn't operating within a post-hegelian value system

>racism is a left wing ideology

i can't remember when was the last time i've heard something as retarded as that

>implying you don't need to be DER ÜBERMENSCH to have no need of these things

No, its not, Science was

lolno, gastronomy was

Majority of mankind is not white, a religion is basically act like a mindless altruistic lunatic is not good enough for them.

Almost all ideologies are collectivist. Amerifat libertarians are the only ones who use this particularly autistic definition of left and right.

Right = acceptance or endorsement of stratification. Hence, fascism, anarcho-capitalism, conservatism, theocracy, neo liberalism, and monarchy are all right wing. Whether the inequality they accept is based on class, race, or nobility doesn't really change this.

Left = attempts to reduce stratification to varying degrees. Communism, socialism, anarchism, technocracy, syndicalism, deep ecology (usually), progressivism, etc.
Of course, vanguard communist parties are often not so egalitarian in practice, just like monarchies are often not as sovereign as the concept implies., but ideologies are defined by theory.

A few ideologies are genuinely centrist but they tend not to be as popular. Christian democracy, mutualism, Georgism, anarcho primitivism and (sometimes) classical liberalism are all I can think of.
