...

good taste dude. I love this painting

Literally my waifu.
My absolute favorite painting. I couldn't help but fall in in love on first sight.

It's so hard to choose just one.
That's another favorite.

contemporary yet timeless

This is a great painting.

I can tell from here you're an amerilard unable to appreciate art properly.

Achevable natty?

I've always like Edvard Munch and Hieronymous Bosch

> Implying I only have one favorite.
Pic related is one. 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Bas Relief by Lee Lawrie.

Also a fan of Sheeler, Tony King, Rodin, Van Gogh, and Dali, especially how woodcuts for The Divine Comedy.

>Hieronymous Bosch
His stuff resembles SIR's New Year Comic strips.

Or I can remember to attach the file.

Fav artist is my grandfather but don't feel posting him here

>tfw seen Monet's works irl

It's a toss up between
>the execution of lady Jane Gray
And
>van goghs wheat field with cypresses
Both are incredible in person, photos fail to capture them.
Also any of Turner's work is up there, and of course Rembrandt too.

I always wondered why her head is a tambourine

does she make a nice sound when you hit her?

>those supple conetits

who knew they had trannies back then

...

brehs...

Sorry brother, there are not enough rations for sharing.

I've only recently heard that the formation of God, the angels and that red cloth bears incredible resemblence to the human brain from a lateral view.

Boggled my fucking mind. It's actually the depiction of the moment Adam was granted consciousness by God. Pure genius man.

Much more incredible in real life because it's so massive.

Get a job

ITT: people randomly googling paintings pretending to know the artist or the concept of the painting but can't name a single artist irl besides the ones everyone know

>tambourine
oh shit all this time i thought it was coconut cut in half

...

...

i always thought it was a lime but then again i never took the time to look it outside the thumbnail

Why would you think that?
And why dont you post a painting?
Insecure because the other kids care about something you dont?
Fuck off with your negativity or contribute.
Also the pics posted so far arent just the mainstream shit.
And even IF you were right, why wouldnt you want to encourage plebs to google some paintings? Literally nothing bad can come of it. Fucking edgelords

There are certainly some. If they enjoy the art enough to save and share it then it has served a purpose. Perhaps not the purpose you deem "acceptable" but a purpose regardless.
Stop being a pretentious nigger and post some art you like, you're welcome to add a short description of it if you think it'll be better enjoyed that way.

I like simple geometric forms.

>When a grill says she likes guys who can cook
>Don my chef hat and mise en place my balls on her chin

>somebody was painting this in 1520

It's like some sort of fucked up futuristic disneyland. How far advanced of his time was this guy.

Bosch was actually painting in a style that as 100+ years out of favor in 1500s, and was viewed as a crazy retro/primitive sort of dude deliberately bucking the more naturalistic styles of the day

I mean, it depends on my mood.

How do I advanced beyond basic taste

Is that a nether portal

You go to the closest museum that has good shit and actually look at paintings. The ones you like you type in your phone with the name of the artist. Then you google the artist at home to get a feel for his/her art.
If you like it you go to another museum that has his paintings and look around there as well.
Just embrace the rabbit hole.

Rothko?

My one-rep-max.

Quick, this is your one chance to use your degree!
>mfw your student loans were worth it for this one moment

I know nothing about paintings but I find this visually pleasing.

You sound very smart and everyone respects you for pointing out how smart you are.

That isnt your art, its roman and greek

First piece I heard from Debussy. Led to my interest into late 19th/early 20th experimental compositions.

Ignore the dirty hippies. This is a tremendous piece of functional art and architecture.
