Hey y'all. I used to lift about a year and a half ago. Only a few weeks back into it. Doing 5x5.

Should I take a work out session or two and do lower weight but a shit load of reps with short rest times?

I don't know any of the science behind it, but I would think by doing the exercises more I could get back some of that muscle memory as well as do some heavy conditioning? 3x20 or 5x10 or something. I have no idea.

I just took a daily multivitamin, vitamin B-complex, and drank 2 monster energy ultra. Am I going to die of vitamin B toxicity?

no but why would you do that?

i wanna get THICC

ive been back into lifting for a few weeks, should i consider creatine? i thought it was some crazy steroidy thing but it seems people think pretty highly of it because its a pretty natural molecule

Whenever I post myself on here people kindly advise me to bulk. Whenever I request a bf estimate I always get around 16-20. But then every lean bulk guide says to get to at least 14% before bulking

I lost 100 lbs in the last year or so and not sure which direction to go. 6'0 160

Im cutting but i cant reach the daily fat goal
whats going to happen to me?
what can i eat to increase fat?

I am straight up stupid when it comes to meal planning. I lost 80lbs and I want to break out of skinny fat to at least built fat. Just joined a gym and will be following the SL program.

These are my macro-nutrients (marked my exercise as "sedentary" to not mess thing sup) and was wondering what kind of diet you guys would build to meet pic related.

I am 6ft tall and currently 170lbs

Thanks guys I really appreciate it

Go test you bf then.
i would bulk regardless

My mom wanted me to try B-complex because she heart it helped mental health issues and I'm fugged up, but I'm already taking a daily multivitamin, and I usually drink a Monster or two in the morning.

you're going to be fine honestly as long as you're getting your protein/carbs in before/after workouts while staying at a deficit that's not too extreme. Everything else is helpful but not completely necessary in my experience

I would replace monster with coffee m8

I received a free bottle of tribulus with my preworkout. When is a good time to take it?

why do bent over barbell rows hurt my wrists

hey man I did more research out of curiosity after responding to you ignore that shit advice I guess fat was more important than carbs for me this whole time. My bad

god damn I'm retarded, meant not

I haven't found a type of coffee I enjoy drinking.

Give me a simple effective plank rep routine please

>plank

Why did you quote me like a rude person?

I found a gf, but years of masturbation of resulted in me having ridiculous stamina and performance anxiety.

Once it's up it's fine, but it takes a while. And even once it's up and I can go for a couple of hours and still not cum if I don't furiously masturbate

Help?

If my squat 1rm went from 160kg to 170kg just by using a belt, what am I lacking that stops me doing it beltless?

Stop jerking off

Having a belt to push out against will always enable you to reach higher intraabdominal pressure than without one. Higher IAP means greater stability which means greater force production. In other words you will always be able to lift slightly more with a belt. You can strengthen your core and practice your bracing, and it might help your squat - But put on a belt and you'd probably see that you can still squat more with the belt on.

Skip planks and use an ab wheel.

Just do 5x5

Might make a 1% diff so who cares.

cutting and bulking is for morons. Lift weights and get enough protein.

Youre not lacking anything, there's a reason everyone lifting heavy uses a belt, they work.

Bulking till Oct. or Nov. then cutting waaaay down for army basic training

Currently on my own version of the Texas Method.
What body parts seem to be lacking and what should I work on.
>TLDR what muscles should I work on my bulk
>6'0 169lbs

oh shit man I was just where you were a week ago. Cialis does NOT work fwiw

how is she sexually? Bland? Does she let you be dominant? I found her being able to look at me to be the problem. Hit it from the back or blindfold/tie her up. Make her get you hard, talk dirty

The overall theme is you gotta be comfortable with her, and then yourself

I think you generally have good genetics and solid base to work with. Only advice would be to make sure it's a leeeean bulk and to work chest more than core just to be safe

Flaxseed oil.

Diffused peppermint oil.

If I clean bulk from 180lbs at 12% up to 200 what BF% should I be at?

Are peanuts bad for testosterone?

The research on TDEE vs. bulking seems miniscule, but there is at least a study stating body recomps at TDEE.

bodybuilding.com/fun/ask-the-muscle-prof-is-bulking-really-necessary.html
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24599749

There's a claim in the article that bulking is [associated with muscle increases], but the study on it (and the control) is MIA.

I want to do planks for my core, not purely abs but I will give it a try.

should I get a fitbit to see my TDEE? Are they accurate

>I want to do planks for my core
Are you implying ab wheel doesn't work your "core"?

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU LOSE FAT FROM YOUR FACE IVE LOST OVER 70LBS BUT MY FACE IS STILL FAT AS FUCK REEEEEEEEEEE

i got up to doing 3 sets of 4 minute planks.

bought an ab wheel, never looked back. don't waste your time with that buzzfeed-level bullshit about planks building a good core.

also, don't give yourself abdominal DOMS, that shit sucks.

But I'm not just looking to recomp I want to gain weight

Bulk, but don't over-do it. It'll trigger the fat kid feeling again.

It does feel like you're building something, shit burns like hell, I'm only at 1m30s x4 so far.

are you losing weight or fat?

How in the fuck did you lose 100lbs in 1 yr

fat

feeling doesn't mean a lot.

hold a fucking 10 pound weight in front of you for a bit, and tell me with a straight face that 'burning' feel is going to make your anterior delts huge.

260 was my max but I more-so roamed around 240-250

I smoked a ton of weed all the time. Quitting for a few months not only helped with my appetite but part of the "withdrawal" included no appetite at all for a week or so. That alone dropped me to ~230 range. The instant progress fed my hope and I pretty much fasted or took it way too extreme. Smoked again one night and fainted out on my kitchen floor

Be careful and don't overdo it. Oh and don't be a retard like me and not lift the whole fucking time

height/weight/bf? Congrats on the loss that's a ton, and I'm sure if you keep it up you'll see the losses

Yeah but this is the full core, and over time even you did hold a weight in front of you of course it would fucking make the muscles it activates big. That's basic physiology m8.

no, retard, it'll increase their anaerobic threshold, if you want to talk about 'physiology'.

you see the big fucking bodybuilders doing static workouts? of course you fucking don't. what makes you think the core is any different? it needs dynamic movement and progressive overload if you want to grow and strengthen it.

are these fine dumbbells to buy? amazon.com/Pair-Adjustable-Dumbbells-Total-Unipack/dp/B007WKK5HE/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8

I am a beginner, I have only lifted a bit in school a few years ago. I want to get some free weights and a pull up bar for home.

if you're going to start, get olympic sized adjustable dumbbells, so your weights can transfer over to a barbell if you go that route, you'll save yourself a good bit of money in the long run.

so like some of these plates amazon.com/Body-Solid-lb-Olympic-Plate/dp/B003F124ZA/ref=pd_sim_200_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003F124ZA&pd_rd_r=VRBD8S0VWR3BGQFG7FZA&pd_rd_w=8aIJr&pd_rd_wg=Ixtyn&refRID=VRBD8S0VWR3BGQFG7FZA&th=1&psc=1

with bars like this amazon.com/Ader-Olympic-Dumbbell-Handles-Collars/dp/B002OB2BT6

?

The fuck does diffused peppermint oil do?

She's amazing in all honest, she lets me do what i want and does as i ask too.

What product will help to achieve something similar?

Veeky Forums

quit washing your hair with shampoo, after shower pomade then wear a compression hat before and during sleep

this is health

yeah, i remember mine being a bit cheaper though.

walmart usually has better prices than amazon on the actual weights, you can usually order online and get it shipped free to the store. alternatively, used/resale sports stores are good for that too, around a dollar per pound.

>The fuck does diffused peppermint oil do?
>diffused?
Essential oil is really powerful.

Peppermint oil is a "stimulant".

Unflavored whey.

>tl;dr: dyel user gets approached by health master telling his vascularity and uneven posture are signs of mesoderma clogging and incoming huge problems with health.

So i'm riding city metro (euro~) when a person who took a seat near me asks about my veiny hands, uneven shoulders and bad posture.
>- See, your veins are so pumped, your palms are twisting in a 180 degrees easily and palms are covered with sweat cause you have mesoderma clogging.
>- What's your age, height, weight? -Single?
>25-179-65.
>- It's critical time and recovery won't be fast. In case you ignore soon you'll get infertility and panic attacks, your nerve system has to be checked. I've graduated in neurology field in Spain (he's actually tanned and well-manered as person studying for long time) and i'm helping lots of people in this city now
>he shows me iphone with 2k+ unread messages, personal profile with actual people asking for a medical session in recent days
>- I've noticed your hands and couldn't avoid to tell your condition is in danger.
>- How's your cardio?
user is cycling, ice skating, walking a lot
> -You are stressing your body with exercises yet they won't help at this moment. Massage won't help either, they are just flexing your bones. Call me later, set a time for a free visit (passengers nearby are giggling) so we perform a full check - nerve reactions, upper and lower pressure, 1 hour long or 2 if condition is bad.
>- Fapping much? Since young ages? It's bad too for reproductive system too.
>- I say, sport is not making your healthy, but it's a result of being healthy.
...
So he got my number and kindly asked to write him and set a time for a visit since he's renting room at cosmetology office near station we got to train.
His profile is old, he got wife and son and tons of friends thanksgiving him. There are some red flags in this story yet his arguments were reasonable unlike "lift hard, eat hard for mad gains"
I'm feeling like Neo with 2 pills, barely posted to /fit before.

Did you get a chance to read his 2k unread messages? They could be from collections agencies asking for payment or whatev. Or from disgruntled patients.

Are the friends thanking him on media confirmed people?

Why is he only renting a room at a cosmetologist office? Did you check? There could be a legit reason, or could not.

Having a wife and kid aren't indicative of honesty. They can also be construed as liabilities that require him to do anything to make ends meet.

He may be legit though...

When it comes to squats, its clearly obvious that anything above parallel is bad.

Now with that being said.

I have a co worker who is a sprinter and his team coached by apparently a slightly famous, or maybe infamous coach. Infamous for using steroids on his athletes.

But anyway, my coworker INSISTS that quarter squats are perfectly fine.

I told him my max was 335 atg but he said that was shitty. And I looked at him with all of my wat. He's very lean and is about 160 so he has muscle but I was confused when I heard this. He then proceeded to say his female teammate can squat 405. He showed me the video and I cringed so hard.

She had a belt. 405. And was quarter squatting for fucking reps.

I don't understand is this actually something that should be used in training?

I don't doubt his athletic capabilities, his legs are shredded and I've seen him run but is this something that actually works?

Can you drink water with iodine water purification tablets in it as an iodine supplement or do you need to get an actual supplement?

Okay so you're saying planks basically do shit? I'm not contradicting you, you may very well know a lot more than a noob like me, but so many anons on here and YouTubers who seem to know their shit recommend planks. So you can see why people like me may think there is something useful there.

I don't have a smartphone but I was wondering if I could just use my computer. Do the commonly suggested apps like myfitnesspro or whatever integrate into the google calendar or run on a browser?

Is running in the morning better than night?

Does it make a difference if its long and has hard hills?

People are confirmed, asking mostly for a consultation. Most of them have fitness-related profiles. He told me there are lots of them and by 8PM he's ending his working day. (as today)
He's renting just a room near metro station for easier reach and i can walk there. Profile pics are actually his. His bio says he's studying and practicing here in neuro-related fields in legit med univeristy.
I've just had terrible experience of people approaching me before but my current program is awful. Leg day every second day.

1.92 lb/wk is doable.

Quarter squats hit the quadz which make you better at sprinting

Going to a new university in a month and apparently they just built a new gym.

It's basically all machines (not familiar with most of thier names but i do knownthey have a smith machine) and dumbells up to 120lbs.

What routine can I do to look aesthetic?

I will be taking courses year round btw.

Or just do high bar squats?

You sound retarded.

Unless the entire population on Veeky Forumsis even more retarded. There is no way that can be healthy. Especially if you're skinny and weigh less than a buck thirty.

I can't really progress in dl because the bar is getting too heavy to hold at 110kg. Any tips on increasing grip strength?

I put my ground beef flat between wax papers and chucked it in the freezer, is that what I'm supposed to do with it if I'm not planning on eating it right now?

Is keto diet going to make me fat? Can i eat as much fat and protein as i want?
I'm fucking tired of counting calories, it is a burden. I have 3 years doing this and i haven't enjoyed a meal in that time. I no longer care about being fit or jacked, i just don't want to be a fatso. Pls Respond.

Im doing SL 5x5 right now and my squat weight is 235lbs for sets and i feel like its too much for me 3 times a week, should this be happening yet? also if i do 3x5 should i still add 5lbs to each exercise every workout?

Any good place for info on taking creatine. I know you should cycle and shit but instructions unclear

What is best body type to attract qt twinks? My plan is to get built, but I'm not sure if that will work.

getting fat on keto is really hard
>never hungry
>always energy
>not having blood sugar spikes prevents weight gain

fuck man, i miss bacon so much

Can anyone recommend me a protein shake?
I've been lifting for a year without them and just realised how shit my diet is protein wise sometimes. I just go full veggie some days and I only recently looked into the macros of it.

...

Thanks user.

I suffered a minor back injury last year. I've been avoiding doing deadlifts and other exercises out of fear of re-injuring it. How do I get over this fear?

did you get a doctor's approval? Is it fully healed

Yes, it's fully healed. I'm just worried about having shitty form, which was how I injured it in the first place.

Back had been wrecked this week. I not sure what from. I got a new pillow. Also last week did RDL for first time and did rows the same session. What do it's lower back actual pain to where it was hard to get outta bed

What is "sipping"
Why is it a thing?

531 on 3 days per week - better to stick to 1 lift per day or can I do 2 in 1 day?

If i'm a skinny fat at 20% bf, should i cut or bulk?

What ab exercises/set and reps should I throw into the end of my routine?

Can anyone recommend some protein powder for me to buy? Gold Standard seems too expensive. I'm sure there's a better value brand that is equally good or not better.

bump

Never eat canned salmon if you know what's good for you. Holy hell was that disgusting.

What's the suggested protocol to follow after a 10,000 calorie binge while on a clean bulk? How negative an impact would fasting the day afterwards and eating at a deficit for a week have on your gains? Would doing this once a month cause trouble?

What is proper shoulder position?

will doing weighted cardio for 30 min on weekdays limit weight gains when bulking?

If Im basically a NEET right now and have all day to do whatever I want and I want to start doing some fasted cardio, does timing matter for anything?
I like to lift in the morning around noon or so when it's least busy so would it work to do

Cardio early (7/8 am)
Break fast 9/10
Then go lift at 11/12?
Or should I wait longer to lift

My maintenance is 2000kcals, I'm cutting at 1700 and want to bulk at 2300kcals

I know that I need to be at maintenance for ~3 weeks because hormone levels/Adaption whatever but how exactly do I make this transition? straight away to maintenance and then after a bit to that aimed surplus?

Bump

it's a meme started by someone who made a thread with a pictured Monster, which a greentext saying >that first sip of the day

Became a meme for God knows why. Do not drink energy drinks

>Do not drink energy drinks

I actually picked a can of sugar free redbull last time because I wanted some quick caffein without drinking coffee and upon reading the nutrient label it got me curious

first off, it has shit caffeine at 32mg/100ml which is super low
second is it's packed with vitamin b12 and other vitamins and shit

why is it bad?

I mean do what you want, but you shouldn't drink energy drinks or soda IMO. Energy drinks are probably addicting based on the people I work with, so I think of it like addictive soda (not that soda can't be addictive either, but not nearly as much)
