This general is for the purpose of centralizing female presence in the board, creating a community-based advice/critique/support system built for femanons and by femanons, where anons are free to participate too. If this is your first time posting and you'll be asking for advice, please consider doing the following things

I'm a shut-in NEET at the moment (I graduated last semester with a master's degree but am taking couple months of holidays while planning a big move abroad to live with bf).
Long story short, my case is special, I was a pretty active girl with a bit of a too ((high energy)) spirit and a bit impulsive, got forced into the psychiatric meme and developed anxiety/panic attacks because of sedative meds side effects. Been off them almost 2 months, and haven't much left the house, except for groceries (home gym). I'm working on it. So right now I don't go anywhere per se.

I (F) come here because I like the looser atmosphere, the ability to find lots of other people to discuss various topics with without the lameness that plagues most forums, that my posts are judged by quality and not the online personality I've cultivated, that I don't HAVE to have an Internet persona, the refreshingly different culture, and some of the memes are funny too. I kind of like that people can be hard on me, even over really little things, because it forces me to recognize my flaws and work on them. That only works if you can discern bullying from genuine criticism.

I'm also lonely, jaded, and weird, but I don't think that's the primary reason why I come here.

Lastly, you're right that it's not hard to get laid as a chick, but you misunderstand what most women want. We generally want long-term relationships, not casual sex, and those are hard to come by. And sexless is objectively not the peak of suffering lmao

Older femanon here (29). I have a history of anorexia starting in early middle school and ending in mid college. Brief relapse one year after college. I also was diagnosed with Celiac's two years after college. I was an endurance athlete throughout (track/XC). I'm coming up on 30 and in a few weeks I'm getting my IUD out so my husband and I can start having babies. I never wanted kids, always wanted to adopt, but he wanted kids so I said I would. Now that it's getting to be that time, I am suddenly not myself. I want my husband to get me pregnant. Bad. I want him to get me pregnant bent over the couch. Laid out on the dining room table. In all the raunchy positions that usually hurt me and I suddenly want him to take me every way under the sun. My libido has always been low from the running (and especially when I was anorexic) but lately I just can't get sex off of my mind, specifically with him. The sex has always been really good once we start; he's the best I've ever had. I just never used to initiate. I have never wanted to have my own babies and I suddenly want this IUD out ASAP. My weight hasn't changed, I'm a constant 102-105 at 5'5. I used to be a barely-A cup and am suddenly a full B, and my hips seem wider. My pooch is suddenly gone and my tummy is leaner than usual.

I'm not complaining, but am VERY confused. Two home pregnancy tests and a visit to the doctor confirmed I'm not already pregnant. I have read that some women, especially those with history of anorexia, experience a small second puberty in late 20s. Is that it? Or is it just my biological clock? We can't right now because we're seperated by distance, but we made a long term plan to have our first child within next two years.

About the body changes, I'm not sure where to find a source, but I've read in medical journals that women can have a "placebo" pregnancy when trying to procreate, as in develop physical symptoms of pregnancy when convinced they are expecting. It's not uncommon at all actually, from what I know of it. Don't be afraid of this, this is just your body "preparing" for it, running a few tests before the actual try, and the only fear you could reasonably have is based on fact some women go psychotic if they don't have children actually (I'm talking girls who imagine their pregnancy, no sexual intercourse at all, not women like you who are trying to procreate).

My client with thyroid issue eats 2200 cal to maintain her mass. Just because you have that issue don't mean that you can't eat. You just have to hit the gym hard like everyone else. Cardio 4 times a week, 30~45mins of jog, stair masters, bike etc.., weight lifting and actually eating food. What do you think makes gains? keeps gains and keeps you metabolized? ....that's right, FOOD. If you only ate 1200cal, you're just wasting time, making no lean mass, and you're gonna store fat easily. Stop being a lazy turd and go get your ass in the gym. You have more of a reason to be working out than anyone else. Or else you'll be stuck eating your fuck all calories for the rest of your life and be hungry

Seconding this, though I'm waiting for more deets on the thyroid problem to figure out how to get you started. Eventually everything Cheekie just said, you'll have to implement if you really want to improve your condition, and not be stuck in this dead end of caloric restriction and no strenght. It's not a life worth living trust me.
You're going to eat more, just get over the fear of getting big/bulky/too fat, because if you do it right you'll achieve none of that.
I'd take being a strongfat powerlifter over a sickly skinnyfat anyday. And there's several layers from one point to another, and your progress and goals can come in many shapes or forms, so don't give up on yourself just yet.

I have to be honest, I don't have hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's but I do have a similar hormone dysfunction which for me is more embarrassing to talk about, it's called PCOS/polycystic ovary syndrome

I think people are over complicating the whole idea of fitness. What ever the issues you have... thyroid issue, PCOS... there is no negative sides about working out. And if you workout, you will get faster metabolism due to increased lean mass GUARANTEED. So, just don't think too much and go work out, eventually you'll have a body that allows you to eat a lot.

I'm not familiar with PCOS though I've heard it mentioned before, but from what you've explained it does, if anything you should be eating more to compensate for blood loss when having those long menses, and also because being "high test" you have the potential to build muscle much more easily than other girls. Not sure how high test wrecked your metabolism, if anything it should have increased your intake capacity. Does your GP actually recommend you a 1200 calorie diet or is it just something you thought works for you?
Ultimately, if you eat more and start exercising you are going to see improvements in strength, and a betterment of your overall quality of life because of it. Not saying it'll fix your condition, but it might greatly alleviate the tolls it takes on your body. You gotta get big and strong to fight the wolf inside you.
