I'm going to confess. I ate leftover fried food today, i know it wasn't right. But it was our final. After that, we are storing healthy shit in our fridge for the sake of my health (and fiance's).

So the local gym is starting a weight loss competition. Last year's winner went from 215 to 160 in 100 days(!)

I'm already doing 20 hour fasts and 1.5k cal a day on Keto and I'm at 240lb. Think I can drop to 1000 cal a day and not die terribly?

quick story:
Got my shit together around 2nd week of May.
Scale showed 103,7 kg. I thought HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS TOO MUCH.
Started using myfitnesspal to count calories and macro as well as doing cardio at least 3 times a week. (started with long walks - 1hr+, then went for quasi intervals). At the beginning I've couldn't even jog for 4min straight. 3 days ago I've did 5km on 26min.

Weighed myself today - scale showed 91,5kg but I still feel like a fat fuck.

I know, I won't stop but I don't think I look any better I've looked before. The only difference is that I don't look kinda "swollen" on my face and maybe double chin got slightly smaller. Other than that I still feel pudgy :(

How do i get more energy?
before I lost these 27 lbs this summer I had energy, but ever since I started keto last week (21st) (It made me loose 7 lbs, but thats water and it felt terrible) I've not even been able to get basic shit done.
I cant do caffeine since I'm extremely sensitive to it.
The only thing that works is ice cold showers, and that only lasts a couple hours.

I just broke keto, gonna just keep with low carb. But I need energy.

Carbs are where you get all energy from in food. No carbs = no energy and you're going to be running off fumes. Your brain also needs ~110g of carbs daily just to work properly.

There's a reason bodybuilders eat a ton of carbs. It's not a bad thing, just stay away from the refined sugars and shit.

There's also a reason the "keto flu" is a common thing

Also, just to try and help some of you out, the numbers I'm seeing for an arbitrary internet contest are getting... unhealthy, to say the least.

I respect what you guys are trying to do but 7+ lbs in a week? That's obscene and I know, for a fact, some of you are doing heinously unhealthy things to achieve such.

This is about a lifestyle change, not destroying your bodies with unsustainability to achieve having your name in the 'Grand Prize Winner' box. It will not be tolerated again.

If you want to be heinously unhealthy and I can figure it out, I will put you in your own 'dangerous' bracket, segment you from the rest and your results will be weighed against other unhealthos.

I'm not trying to give anyone anything as I'm not their keeper. I moderate a weight loss contest and I've imposed a rule because I, personally, won't stand for unhealthy lifestyles that use a contest to focus in on and thus I moderate my contest.

Its a slap on the wrist because that's all I can do, that's why I requested twice not to make me culpable or aware of it. I'd love to help people but I acknowledge that I can't. So, if they want to be in the contest, they'll abide or they'll stop making me aware of it so I can stop caring

Am I the only one whose autism gets triggered by shit like "one a day is like 10000 kcal in a year, or 3 pounds of fat gain"? Your TDEE increases as you gain weight, so the number of pounds will be inaccurate when you consider longer periods, like a year. They could just look up how much weight you'd have to gain for your body to be in equilibrium again, and say that you will asymptotically approach that weight, but that would be too much math for the viewer.

They probably said that because most apps etc are way off with their estimates on calories burned during exercise.
They usually overestimate by a lot. So it's safer to not eat back your exercise calories

Not him, but only if you are using a device that actively tells you how many extra calories you are burning is accurate enough to count for this stuff. Otherwise you at the mercy of shitty algorithms that can very easily overestimate your calories loss which can result in your actual deficit being far smaller than desired.
