Low reps for strength

>mark’s solution: do medium reps

Wouldn’t a better solution be to alternate between low and high reps?

But what if he's wrong?

Has there been some significant body of studies to suggest that the distilled knowledge used in that particular program is wrong?

It's like being a jack of all trades and a master of none. If you want to get good. You gotta specialize.

medium reps is 7 and 7 give 0 gains, you don't ever want to do 7

So is the general 5x5 still good?

work all rep ranges. do cowboy method

>not doing PPLxPP with the first Push/Pull being hypertrophy and the second Strength

I guess. I do candito's linear ABxABxx, with the first AB being high weight/low reps and the second being high reps. Solid gains.

What is periodisation?

>never heard of undulating periodization

How is your first week in the gym going?

Yes. A 4 days a week routine with two heavy days and two hypertrophy days is the most effective. At least for me.

I get what he's talking about, but he is dogshit at explaining anything

3 h and 2 heavy is better

Nah, then you'll make less strength gains because you won't have enough time to recover for the heavy days. And the more strength you have -> the higher weight you can use on hypertrophy days -> the more muscle mass you will make

Why would an old overweight jewish orthodox give a fuck about starting strenght

This is more or less what I do. I recommend.

I did my research in the internet, its better that way, look it up

Medium reps is 12 though.

t. cenk

That's called PHUL (power hypertrophy upper lower), and it is great yes.

>those rest times
If you're a teenager, maybe. I need 5-7 minutes between heavy sets.
