Sumo is pretty fucking hardcore. There are no weight classes so everyone packs as much weight as possible. But beneath that fat is a fuckload of muscle and explosiveness

look up senegalese wrestlers and traditional mongolian wrestlers, wrestlers from the early 20's too before steroids were invented. Some of them are close to this level muscle mass especially in the shoulders and legs. (they pretty much train both intensely every single day since childhood working on the plains.)
The mongolians are also much better at sumo than the japanese.
All Sumo fighters essentially train the same. They're part of different stables made up of veteran and retired fighters and they all undergo secretive training regimes. But there's a few common traditional things they do across all sumo stables.

>eat 10,000 calorie breakfast
>train for another 8 hours,
>eat 10,000 calorie dinner
>have some small personal time allotted to carry out tasks around the stable like cooking and cleaning

Training involves striking, pushing around other 150-240kg guys until exhaustion. Stretching, 200-300 sumo stomps a day. Different techniques, etc.
