The data from both ok cupid and tinder match up pretty closely to the point where there is plenty of evidence to support the claim that women are just as, if not more, shallow than men.

I don't agree with /sp/ it's probably the best board I've ever been in even though I don't follow divegrass much anymore. There is a good balance of serious discussion and actual good humor. The board has a pretty unique culture.

Out of the ones you listed the only other board I used to browse is /mu/ and yeah the place is now absolute shit. Used to be good back in 2012-2013 and then it dropped the ball.

Nah /a/ has sucked for years. They are the most autistic board by far and actual discussion is pretty much nonexistant. I only go there for One Piece discussion now. Some other generals are also good but 95% of the board is total dogshit.

Never browsed this board regularly but it does seem a bit different. When I posted here a couple years ago I got many words of encouragement. I crashed and gave up on lifting but I'm here to try again, plan on succeeding this time. Still though, this board seems like it's in better shape than something like /v/ or /tv/. Rough around the edges, but threads like these may help iron out issues. Keep in mind that board culture shift is inevitable.

desu, I just started lurking for a few months ago since I started to get more serious about my health. A really weird thing I notice on this board is all the obesity fetish posting despite the fact that this is suppose to be a "health and fitness" board. It's even worse than the r9k posting.

So some of you guys go through all that work to get fit and strong just to settle with ham planets? Or are these fat fetish posters people who never even step foot in a gym?

I've stopped posting in those threads a long time ago. Sadly, from what I've seen with the other boards that declined, it's only going to get worse until we get a proxy /r9k/ with some fitness on the side. Not like we are far from that anyhow.

I also think another part of the issue is in our moderation. I actually like when discussion goes a little off topic every once in a while because it's nice to hear more about people who are directly into your hobby. When there's a lack of balance it's easy to fall all the way off of the board's main focus. I'm sure some people would get angry and leave if /r9k/ tier posts started to be deleted from the board but I think that's the price that needs to be paid to stabilize everything.
