Are the Politically Incorrect Guides actually good history? I'm a clueless idiot, but I read one of these and liked it and I'm thinking about impulse ordering on Amazon:
The Politically Incorrect Guide to:
American History
The Constitution
Great Depression & the New Deal
The Presidents
Founding Fathers
British Empire
Civil War
Communism
Socialism
Capitalism
Would I be a conservative intellectual after reading these?

i'm a girl irl btw

No, it's basically a redpill infographic in book form, hence the buzzword "politically incorrect"

Unless you actually believe in redpill infographics, but then there's nothing I can do to stop you from reading it

They're written by PhDs and are about 200 pages long, though. They're not just infographics.

>Leftoid thinks /pol/ made the books
Lmao

>4 / 2 / 3 / 1
I just took the bait for one of those crypto-/pol/ threads didn't I where you pretend to be asking an innocent question?

Kevin Daniel Williamson has a B.A. from the University of Texas in English Literature.

Thomas E. Woods Phd Harvard
Kevin Gutzman PhD

You're right, though, a few others don't have PhDs. Maybe I should skip those.

>I just took the bait for one of those crypto-/pol/ threads didn't I where you pretend to be asking an innocent question?
No, it's a troll post made by a liberal not by "the ebil /pol/ boogeyman". Hence the last line you moron.

National Review is not /pol/tier in the slightest and reading it's smut doesn't make you a conservative intellectual anymore than reading bland politically biased pablum from any side of the spectrum

>tfw you make an honest thread and people think you're trolling

>infographics with sources don't exist
So what it sounds like is /pol/ is always right and they have the evidence to back it up but leftypol is super butthurt about it so they jack off on Veeky Forums instead of leftypol because it's easily raided and sucks in general because it's obviously populated by gommies.

You should probably just read Burke or Samuel Johnson not trendy books if you want to understand conservatism

tfw my OP so inherently good at trolling they do it on accident

As long as you realize that "politically incorrect" is just being used as a thinly veiled codeword for conservative, and not say something like South Park. Imagine there were a book series called the "the Frankfurt School's Guide to" except this is the American right wing version instead of the left wing version. I'm not even talking about the inherent biases of the author. I'm talking about people pretty far on one side of the spectrum preaching the the choir. Read it if you just want something to reinforce your opinions.

Sorry m8, but none of these books go into conservativism in any meaningful way unless you really are clueless about rightists positions in general , in which case I guess they're decent TLDR's

>As long as you realize that "politically incorrect" is just being used as a thinly veiled codeword for conservative
It's like reverse McCarthyism lmao leftypol on a witch hunt

I'm conservative. I just don't read. And no, I'm not trolling damn it. I listen to podcasts and stuff, and I want to become more informed, but I don't have the attention span to read freaking Edmund Burke or something. That just won't happen.

don't make fun of me
>pic is for you

>pic is for me
Honored. A humble (you) in recognition.

They're poorly written polemical texts aimed at promoting specific political agendas, not attempts at accurately recounting history. I've read the Civil War and Founding Fathers ones; first was 1990s Sons of the Confederacy mailing list slavery apologetics and the second a collection of poorly sourced hagiographies that will leave the unskeptical reader even more misinformed about history than they were before reading them.

"The Politically Incorrect Guide to" series is published by Regnery Books, whose motto is "Great Conservative Books. Great Conservative Authors"

Good reading if you're conservative just want to stick it to liberals though.

>if someone disagrees with something I like it's poorly written, if my guys disagree it's just a different lens of perspective
Okay
>"The Politically Incorrect Guide to" series is published by Regnery Books, whose motto is "Great Conservative Books. Great Conservative Authors"
Heh, now that's incriminating.

God forbid conservatives arm themselves with a couple books as opposed to the entire liberal-progressivist left wing MSM & education system not to mention the hyper popularity of low IQ highly advertised left wing media items(some of which achieve those aims despite being written by "comedians").

>conservative poster posting anime pictures
Are anime viewers the real swing vote that determine the outcome of elections? I remember 10 years ago, even 5 years ago Anime posters were left leaning. Now they're right leaning.

So, like McCarthy it turns out to be well founded.

It's true. Embrace your conservative anime waifu overlords

With pics like that and the adorable tigress, nobody has any choice really.

No, they're incredibly bias hard-right will bullshit.
If you want good "Beginners" books.
Go for the "Introduction to"/"For Beginners"/"A Graphic Guide" Graphic novels by Icon Books.

These are legit some of the best (and most entertaining to read) introductory books to philosophy, economics, Art History, History etc.

It's just the anime posters on Veeky Forums specifically. Most anime fans in real life are still pretty normal people who have normal relationships and are generally politically moderate, maybe left leaning if you look at the technical aspects of most of their beliefs.

Veeky Forums specifically has attracted the subset of lonely and bitter male permavirgin anime watchers who tend to hate 3dpd, and got sucked into "redpilled" communities in an effort to blame their problems on the flawed outside world instead of their perfect selves, and end up hard-right internet-shitposting conservatives as a result.

>socialist countries like Sweden
Ah, I see these books are from the venerable school of the author’s ass, with facts and figures scraped like dingleberries from his taint and smeared across the pages with all the eloquence and rhetorical skill of a 5 year old child.

>Veeky Forums specifically has attracted the subset of lonely and bitter male permavirgin anime watchers who tend to hate 3dpd, and got sucked into "redpilled" communities in an effort to blame their problems on the flawed outside world instead of their perfect selves, and end up hard-right internet-shitposting conservatives as a result.
>implying sex rates aren't declining amongst liberal beta cuck nu-males also. No one in generation z or the millennials is having sex. liberal men are just as frustrated and angry at the world.

You can thank me OP for actually uploading an actual good beginners guide.

i'm sure those nu-males exist somewhere. maybe tumblr or resetera or something. i'm comparing anime watchers and their tangential political affiliation though, not opposing political extremist ideologies in specific.

though I would argue that those nu-males are still less frustrated as their politics are applied to their relationships as well, meaning they share chubby tatslut whores in an incestuous social network of socialist polyamory, while redpilled virgins close their xenophobic borders to all but the "best" immigrants, none of whom want to emigrate those shithole countries to begin with.

>Are the Politically Incorrect Guides actually good history?
No, they fucking aren't. They're designed to push the standard /pol/ agenda.

>implying conservatives are traditionalist enough for the likes of pol
Conservatives are /pol/ish in the same way that the Democratic party favors the CPRF

no ur the one who's all those things you said

/pol/ mellowed a lot after the election, the literal nazis are a large minority now.
