Man vyvanse is god tier. It's the opposite of smoking weed, which makes you feel like a degenerate. I feel my focus quadruple and everything that I do that makes a positive contribution to my life (studying,cleaning) gives so much dopamine that you want to do it again. Also waaaay more social and less anxious. It's just impossible to fall asleep on and I don't wanna turn into another zombie dependent on big pharma. 9/10 would definitely abuse during finals season again.

Adderall is also similar to speed. It also makes you happy and want to grab life by the horns vs laying in bed all day. The downside is when the come down hits I feel like shit and start biting my nails or binge masturbating to try to dopamine keep the rush going. Lifting helps reduce the comedown quite a bit, but you have to get to the gym before or else I'll feel too lazy and tired to go.

I also fear that eventually I'll build a dependency and life will feel miserable without it.

Nothing against drugs, long term addict, but keep in mind consistent use of any amphetamine can seriously alter how you think and your personality on a deep level. From what I've seen there isn't a much "coming back" from a certain point. (Physically yes, much less of an issue)

Obviously the script meds aren't going to be life changing as other things, just be careful. I know a lot of you struggle, mentally and emotionally, and things that alter you psychoactively can be a gigantic pitfall when you are in that state of mind.

There are also people who react poorly to /stims/, a craving/addiction mental mechanism that starts with absurd speed.

And with any prescription medication, do research on liver effects, that is for sure a thing.

i only took addy briefly (for a month or so) but have taken vy for over a year. addy made me more antsy, but when it was "on" i felt good (not the euphoric good you get when you first take stims but just felt good and ontop of my shit). like you said the comedowns were brutal. with vy the "on" is much more subtle but still very noticeable, lasts way longer, and the comedown is minuscule desu.

I do cardio on vyvanse all the time, I use machines that track my heart rate and don't go above 180. Sometimes if I combine these with caffeine my heart rate becomes uncomfortably high in which case I stop exercizing. I've told these things to my doctor and as long as you're safe about it you should be okay

Pharmacist here. To all the god damn retards debating if Vyvanse is a narcotic. Yes. It is a schedule 2 drug in the US which are all classified as narcotics. Other examples of class 2 narcotics include Cocaine, Hydrocodone, Dilaudid, Adderall, Methadone, Morphine, Methlyphenidate, oxycodone, Fentanyl, most of your strong stimulants and pain meds. The only class of drugs higher than scheduled class 2 narcotics are considered to have no medical purpose are classified as schedule 1 drugs (LSD, Heroin, ect). Drugs are classified based on their addiction/abuse potential. Also, specifically speaking on the stimulants such as Adderall and Vyvanse. They will raise you heart rate about 5-7 beats per minute (could be more with exercise but there are no relevant studies on the effects of these drugs when used during cardio/workout). Also, these drugs will increase your blood pressure on avg about 5 units on both your systolic and diastolic readings. If you need a recreational drug comparison...cocaine and amphentamines work on the same receptor therefore are very similar in side effects and high. The major difference is length of high. Knowing all of this, I would highly recommend against using stimulants when doing high intensity cardio especially when you are maxing out your heart rate or pushing yourself to the extreme. Your just putting extra strain on your heart and arteries that will catch up to you at some point. High BP is a silent killer that stretches and hardens your arteries over time. I also strongly recommend against long term use of stimulants in general or if you do take them consistently to monitor your BP and add a BP lowering drug depending on your levels.

You should have whatever cerification revoked. Vyvanse is not a narcotic despite being schedule II. It's of the amphetamine class which have almost exactly the opposite effects of narcotics.

you're right it's a narcotic, it is an amphetamine, no argument, you can take it to get high, but it doesn't have as much recreational value as most other's, the high isn't what i'd call euphoric so it's easy to use practically and not become some form of tweaker

Trying to add to this. ONLY do cardio on amphetamines if you're an experienced runner. I've done half and full marathons while under the influence, it will ware off faster and you will get dehydrated easily. So if you chose to do so drink a lot of water. The reason I say that only experienced runners should take amphetamines before running is because the drug increases your heart rate tremendously; doing cardio while on amphetamines could put you at risk for a heart attack.
