I would assume it's right wing because of the obsessiveness with masculinity, not trying to judge it as I find some good things in the culture but the idea that "we work hard so we are right" is short-sided as lifting isn't hard work compared to many things both leftists and righties do.

Lower to lower-middle class who are strong aren't really roped into gym culture, in my experience they are mostly laborers and workers who build muscle as a result of their work or workout to survive. They see firsthand how easily a person's life can be shit down on because of a corporation wanting a couple more dollars, middle class don't have to deal with it as much.

I grew up in Appalachia and it's interesting to see the different cultures in America, most white guys around here are mildly racist but are still left because they want people to have more rights than businesses, while minorities are generally really racist against other minorities and can kind of go both ways of the political spectrum.
