The best example of why I think I'm right is Jeff Cavaliere's body. He's natty, ripped athletic mode at the age of 40...and it just isn't aesthetic at all IMO. It's like...being a grown man but trying to look like a 20 yr old athlete and it just fails to look good. Bear mode/Builtfat are really good at higher age because they almost imply you've been through tough stuff, that you're a "manly man". Pretty autistic, IK, it's just hard to put what I see into words.
Also I'm a straight dude so my opinion really has hardly any merit in the end.

user this is Veeky Forums. You're missing the point if you are trying to set realistic goals. The way everyone here makes it is by comparing themselves to a model and making an attempt. We never end up looking like the model, and the few who do develop body dysmorphia and can't even tell they've made it. Shoot for the stars.
One thing I forgot to mention though is height. Imo if you're a manlet then lumberjack mode isn't necessarily what you should be going for.
