Socially? I'm relatively centre-right believing in freedom of speech in all circumstances, the right to a free and fair trial and common law, I'm a big fan of the 'Westminster' style of governance, the separation of powers and federalism (for the most part).

Seem legit. Leftism is about taking down strong individual in order to assure the serenity of the group (welfare system, fiscality), they support weakness with compassion and they evilise strengh. On the other hand the "right" is more about letting everyone expressing and devlopping their strengh. I think some people are increasingly viewing self improvement itself as a right-wing thing, because focusing on your body is a selfish goal. and selfish people are right wing.

I was left wing before I started working out, after working out I became right wing. It wasn't just working out though, by getting into shape I gained some confidence in my ability to achieve what I wanted, switched majors to a degree I originally thought was too hard for me, finished that with a much higher GPA than I would have thought possible before I had started lifting, sorted my finances out, got a job. Lifting was the door way to the realisation that effort really does yield reward when applied properly, and all the complaining about equity is just the weak and worthless refusing to accept their failings are their own fault.
