You look like you have a 'young' face so either shave completely and just own it, or grow a full beard if you can, and I stress, ONLY if you really can. Otherwise it will look awful. Even then you might just look like a 15 year old with a beard so clean shaven may be your best bet. But whatever you decide to do, you should definitely get rid of the goatee and pube 'tache.

no offense intended OP, but how do I prevent this from happening to me? 19 5'11'' and my stomach is a little flabby (people still call me skinny, not saying that's a good thing but I'm not really "fat") so I don't want to hard bulk yet, but I also want to develop more muscle. Should I just eat at a maintenance? Also, although I've been going to the gym MWF, walk for an hour every day, and do 100 (basically girl) pushups, I'm not really sure what my TDEE should be? Moderate exercise is around 2,500 calories, and light exercise is 2,100. I'm not hitting super high weights yet so should I stick to around 2,100? Maybe cut to like 1,800? (or even lower?) OP you literally aren't lifting. I started at 19 years old. I was/am 5'11". Back then I weighed between 150 and 155 lbs because I was a distance runner. I started lifting to get better at push ups and pull ups for the military's physical fitness test. The trainer put me on what I think was a bro split. I did push/pull one day and then shoulders/legs the next, so ABxABxx. I made gains by following his instructions and actually continuing to follow the routine after I used up all my training sessions. Now I weigh 175 lbs and I'm still lean like when I was running. You don't need protein powder, you don't need creatine, you don't need pre workout.

All you need to do is find any routine and stick to it. After about a week you should notice that your appetite has gone up so just listen to it. I think the reason you have no gains is because of your inconsistency

I would lose weight first, then build muscle. Exercise stimulates your appetite which is the opposite of what you want when losing weight. I don't but into the bulk/cut routine. I just lift, appetite follows, I continue to lift, I get stronger. I'm not huge, but it shows. I think I'm a step beyond ottermode right now, whatever that means
